Hotel in zona Plàtan de la Plaça, Tarragona

Situato in un edificio storico nella vecchia città di Altafulla, l'Hotel Gran Claustre è un soggiorno tranquillo in questo posto turistico occupato. Molte visione storiche che possono godere intorno a lei. Le camere sono pulite, anche se potrebbero fare con una nuova mano di pittura e più attenzione ai dettagli: come la doccia che ha fatto un casino ogni volta perché non è completamente chiusa, quindi alcune acque lo fanno fuori e inonda il pavimento della camera da bagno. Vi è spazio per le auto, proprio davanti all'hotel, ma costano 6€ al giorno anche per gli ospiti dell'hotel, ma si può guidare un paio di minuti in più e vi sono molti posti liberi. La piscina è bella, boutique, non grande ma ben curata e pittoresca.

I stayed here for two weeks for a university program. As I was there for a while it's easiest to do a bulleted list of pros/cons: Pros: * Location: Directly on Plaça de la Font, so if you're someone who wants to be right next to restaurants, bars, clubs and shops this is for you; also close to the Cathedral, the old town and the Roman ruins (amphitheater, circus, forum); a short walk from Platja del Miracle, a clean, lifeguarded beach where I was always able to find good space no matter the day or time. * I had a double room at the back of the property, whose window faced onto another flat but with a small terrace between us. Thus it was quiet and got direct sunlight most of the day. The room had an AC unit that cooled the room quickly, and also had decent shelf and hanger space given the room size (small, but that's typical of European hotel rooms, especially in old buildings). * The room was cleaned every day—towels changed every day, sheets changed every few days. Post-COVID I've come to expect the opposite—that hotel rooms will only be cleaned once a week or upon request—so that was a pleasant surprise. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. Cons: * Automated check-in—by far the biggest con. The hostel didn't send our trip coordinator, who wasn't in-country, the access code to the front door, though it was supposed to have been sent 24h before. So I arrived, the first in my group to get there, not realizing this would be needed. Eventually after waiting outside for some time another guest happened to be going inside, and let me in. The machine was wonky at first but eventually worked, at least for me; other guests checking in at the same time as the later arrivals in my group, however, had worse luck, and I'm not sure if they were ever able to reach a Forum rep to access their rooms. * No on-site staff, poorly-manned hostel phone line—we had a situation in our group later that week where a group member forgot their key in their room on their way to dinner, and ended up having to sleep in the small lobby area overnight as nobody from the Forum number provided was picking up the phone. The pin number the automated machine was requesting in order to issue a new key had never been sent to our group coordinator either, hence why the group member was never able to get a new key issued from the machine. * Other people in my university group had single rooms in the center of the property. Thus they did not ever have direct sunlight; their rooms either faced a wall or a disused lift shaft at the center of the property. This is just something for people to be aware of when they're making the bookings; the room photos on the site are not representative of most of the rooms of the property. * Accessibility: there is no lift/elevator, and it is a four-story property with steep flights of stairs between floors. If anyone in your party is disabled or otherwise has mobility or fitness issues, or if you simply have a lot of luggage,

Posizione centralissima con possibilità di parcheggio pubblico coperto nelle vicinanze. Struttura nuova, ambienti puliti, ottima accoglienza da parte dell'addebito alla reception. Camera luminosa e pulita. Avrei preferito che il lavandino fosse posizionato nel bagno e non al di fuori all'interno della camera. Discreta colazione a buffet . Prezzo contenuto. Nel complesso soggiorno più che positivo

While this hotel has a good rate and some ok aspects to it (relatively clean room, convenient parking garage across the street), there are many issues with it otherwise. The receptionist wasn’t very friendly or helpful at the start… that didn’t bode well. I had to do a couple hours of work as soon as I got to my room and quickly realized that the WiFi signal didn’t reach my room - bear in mind I was only on the second floor of about six floors! So I couldn’t use the internet which, obviously, is pretty important for most work these days. I even tried to do some work with my computer just outside my room but the signal was poor even in the halls ways. And to make matters worse, the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. Pretty sure this is a non-smoking hotel! So I decide to do my work in the lobby. I end up having dinner there and order a pasta dish. No joke, the top half of the pasta was warm and the bottom part was cold. Did they just throw it into a microwave? It was pretty disappointing. In terms of the room itself, it was spacious and the bed was comfortable enough but when I went to take a shower, not only would the water not drain properly - creating an ever-growing pool of water on the shower floor - but the temperature was all wonky. It went from slightly warm to searing hot… again, not ideal. I’m a pretty easy-going traveler and for this price, I shouldn’t really complain BUT this city did seem to have plenty of options in the price range so maybe it’s best to try another spot unless you have a good reason to want to stay in this particular location.

El hotel precisa una reforma urgente. No todo vale. Colazione buffet con prodotti di qualità molto bassa. Spaventoso succo, caffè e caldo. - Bene. Buona attenzione in reception. Durante la colazione, assenza di personale in generale. Camera con mobili molto vecchi.

È la vecchia cliché di voi ottenere quello che pagate per. Non ci siamo resi conto che il tavolo completo non includeva nemmeno l'acqua di tappeto con i nostri pasti. Ci sono stati prelevati $3.60 per una giochi di acqua di tappeto così scelto di andare tutto inclusivo. Abbiamo finito di pagare per un giorno che non potevamo usare perché sono stati raccolti alle 9:45. Josina al ricevimento è andata sopra e oltre per aiutarci a guidare intorno alla città. Sebbene l'hotel sia una posizione privilegiata per la spiaggia, è un hotel per residenti spagnoli non turisti, poiché Josina era l'unica persona che parlava inglese alla ricezione. Quando arrivammo pagavamo per un frigo che non era stato consegnato, quindi doveva cacciare più di una volta. Il letto era pieno di letti. Il custode della casa ci ha chiesto di aspettare fino a domani per cambiarli. Grazie a Dio per il traduttore di google. Dovevo andare alla ricezione 4 volte per chiedere un letto pulito. Il distributore di sapone in una delle camere da bagno era vuoto e c'era una struttura visibile di polvere sopra entrambi i distributori di sapone nelle camere da bagno. Il personale del bar maschile era brutto e più di una volta serviva gli ospiti spagnoli che erano dietro di me. La selezione di cibo era buona se si poteva superare le uova cotte e il pane duro. La raccolta di cibo marino era buona. La maggior parte dei negozi sono chiusi durante il giorno e il ***** fuori dall'hotel si occupa molto di notte, soprattutto nei fine settimana. Se siete tutti Inclusivo essere attento che questo non include il bar sulla spiaggia quindi dovrete viaggiare indietro e fuori per ottenere bevande e snack. Questo hotel è perfetto se ti piace la spiaggia ma come con l'hotel se non parli spagnolo potresti dover usare Google Translate per comunicare. If you're on the first floor be prepared to hear the hoover in reception from 6am onwards. Anche al primo piano la tua stanza è pulita molto presto al mattino.

Don’t book, it’s a ripoff!!! We’ve booked and paid a family room with seaview which cost an additional 50 euros / night compared to the classic room. When we arrived we were given only a classic room. We were told they’re fully booked and we can either take it or not. The staff added that they are not allowed to do any changes, only the manager of the reception can take decisions. Since it’s weekend she’s not on site, maybe next day. Next morning the same. We talked to a couple of receptionists. Everyone telling us they are fully booked and they are not allowed to change anything. And since it’s weekend nobody knows when the manager will show up. Late afternoon we received a call, we were shown an even worse room - of course - which we declined. To the reception manager, an ice cold aggressive pitbull style person, who obviously doesn’t care about customer satisfaction, the case was closed as they are fully booked. Refunds were declined. A rip off of 500 Euros, as we have paid 500 euros for a higher category room for 10 nights. She just turned to her paperwork. Furthermore we were informed that our breakfast time is between 8:00 and 9:15. Non negotiable. Hence we couldn’t sleep in at all!!! The brasserie is closed. Only the indoor buffet restaurant was open for breakfast and dinner. The shower was either cold or burning hot. The aircon was either off or ice cold. The indoor bar was closed. The outdoor bar hosted an annoying children animation until 10:00 pm at night!!! It’s not a 5 star hotel. It’s a run down 4 star hotel, selling expensive rooms they don’t have. Ripping off customers.

L'hotel ha accesso diretto al parco, quindi è molto comodo. Inoltre, si accede dalla parte opposta agli ingressi e direttamente davanti a Uncharted, l'attrazione con più coda nei giorni in cui siamo stati. Il costo è ragionevole, per essere un hotel di un parco a tema, la tematizzazione western si nota molto all'esterno degli edifici, ma non all'interno. Nell'edificio principale, in cui ci sono stanze, reception e ristorante, non sembra affatto di essere nel West: troppo ferro in alcuni tratti sembra un carcere! Ci sono turni per la colazione e la cena, prenotabili via APP: contrariamente a quella del parco divertimenti, questa app funziona e si genera un QR code per l'accesso alla sala ristoante. La colazione a buffet è davvero generosa, ci sono molti prodotti, persino un centrifugato di frutta o verdure fresco. Per la cena, invece, il discorso è diverso perchè le preparazioni sono molte ma il gusto non è all'altezza della varietà: la carne è secca, dura, il riso della paella non gustoso: ci sono stati pochi piatti degni di nota. La camera è ben fornita e strutturata. Parcheggio per gli ospiti dell'hotel gratuito ma locker per le valigie a pagamento (5€ le grandi e 3€ le piccole): assurdo per un 4 stelle così come assurdo che non tutto il personale parli Inglese: non pretendo l'Italiano ma l'Inglese in un contesto come questo dovrebbe essere un requisito base.

Non posso raccomandare questo hotel abbastanza, posizione, personale e servizio era sorprendente. E ' abitato su una collina, ma questo non mi ha disturbato affatto. Ho avuto il colazione incluso e ero così felice, così tanto da scegliere! Il personale era molto amichevole e la stanza era pulita ogni giorno. Non avevo la vista sul mare, ma avevo una bella vista di palme dalla mia stanza che aveva sempre un bel vento che arrivava. Amo ogni cosa e probabilmente rimarrò qui quando visitavo Salou. Prachtige locatie. Kamers en suites wat gedateerd. Bubblebad in de suite was kapot. Restaurant is gemiddeld maar 2x zo duur als in de stad. Vriendelijk personeel. Tortosa is leuk voor een dag. Veel verpaupering en leegstand.
