The checkin was easy and quick. The room was a typical motel room but the bed was excellent, nice and soft. The bathroom was on the small side with the sink out in the main room, but big enough and the shower pressure was good. There were plenty of tea and coffee available with a small carton of milk in the fridge. The wifi, a must have for me, was a good speed. There is no food available at the motel but right across the road there are 3 restaurants, Italian, Chinese and Thai so no problem. The thing that attracted me to start with was the availability of 2 free Tesla chargers which were both available while we were there so an easy overnight charge at 3.6kwh.

Fantastic location with a short walk to the cinema, manning river hotel and shopping centre. Beautiful large room and good sized shower. Definitely will book here again

Room is cleaned; neat and clean towels. But the smell of an old room when you walk in, it’s really unpleasant. Overall, very friendly reception and clean. It’s good for short stay.

Very clean and good motel. The room was great and the bed very comfortable. The only drawback is that it's a bit far out of the centre of town.

Great little room which was very clean, good service and just across from the cinema which was good, not too far of a drive to get to the shops.

Great location.Few restaurants right across the road so convenient.Check in/out was easy. Room was renovated and very clean.Shower was strong.Towels are soft and clean.Everything was so good and no complaints at all.Will come back again.

Easy & non fuss to book a room, pleasant & helpful reception staff , affordable price. The room was quite spacious, very clean, comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom clean , lovely shower and all amenities provided. Tea making facilities provided, toaster , crockery and cutlery all provided. Good sized tv , doors had key pads for a code provided entry. Would definitely stay here again when passing through.

We stopped here on our way to the Gold Coast. Much nicer than expected. The room was very spacious, clean, tidy and comfortable. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. He recommended the pub across the road for dinner - it was really good also.

Pluses - Clean & comfortable with good air con. Has been renovated not too long ago as well. Pool clean & refreshing although cushions on chairs could do with some TLC. Shaded BBQ area with large table & chairs - table a bit grotty. Minuses - Hard to sleep during day on weekend as maintenance worker was busy. Light comes in under both bathroom door & entry door detracting from good blackout curtains. There's no nearby food/coffee on weekends within anything under a 20 min walk other than a pub across the road that is not open until after check out time.

This is a gem of a hotel. Very clean and modern rooms. Loved the milk and bickies. Had to charge my EV as local EV outlets out of order. They did everything possible to help me get it done. Big shout out to Evie. What a gifted young lady. Such great customer service. Nothing was a problem. A worker that the owner or Lessee needs to look after because she is special. Great Pub across the road with awesome food. Will be back

I liked the modern look of the room. White sheets and simple yet elegant design. I also like how there are a couple of restaurants across the road despite being located out of the main town. The pool also looks really great but unfortunately didn't have the time to use it. Room was only OK. Bed was too soft or too old. Cleanliness below average - I saw dust collecting in the less obvious areas and some soft furniture looks stained. I'm not sure if housekeeping even wear masks during COVID? The blinds don't really work properly and there's no lighter curtains to let the sun in but still have some privacy. The biggest downside was the thin walls. I could literally hear every conversation of both my neighbours, and could even hear them showering too. It was so audible it was like we were in the same room - and they weren't yelling. I've never experienced such poor sound proofing in a motel or motor inn before.

A very welcome room, booked last minute direct with the hotel and couldn’t be happier. A king size bed, clean and modern room, wonderful shower - ground floor and great parking. I have traveled to Taree for work for 8 years now and once I found The Alabaster, I try not to stay anywhere else. I have seen the hotel rooms be upgraded over the years and am glad to see the new owners are also taking pride in it and are offering cheerful service too. It is much appreciated when on the road for work.

Travelled with my elderly father, booked and received confirmation for deluxe twin room. I received a blank email from the motel 3 days prior to the booking, I replied informing them there was no message in their email and I confirmed my booking confirmation number but had no acknowledgement from them. On checkin I paid for the Deluxe Twin Room but given a 1x Queen bed room, went back to reception and manager told me there was a Twin room booking that had not yet arrived and could put us in that room however it was upstairs and I explained my father can not manage stairs and I noted ground floor room in booking. No apology or explanation as to why my twin room booking was overlooked/overbooked but he did offer a trundle bed for the queen room, which made it crowded in the room and bed not overly comfortable. As it was a one night stay it was ok but if we had stayed longer than I would have demanded to be moved to the correct room that I booked and paid for. Room was clean, tidy and renovated. No milk in fridge to have with coffee/tea. Could smell cigarette smoke from person standing outside our room. When booking a specific room type, you expect to get it, and because of this experience I’m not sure I would stay there again.
