Casa Giorgia

Casa Grazia provided the most wonderful stay for our time in Taormina. We hardly wanted to leave our room. We had the rooftop suite which had truly spectacular views of Taormina, the sea, and Mt. Etna. Watching a thunderstorm from up there was a highlight. The room itself was very small but surrounded with windows and a great patio for enjoying a book, conversation, or beverage. Cleanliness is 10/10, Location 10/10, value 10/10 and host 11/10 - Mario is the kindest, most generous host. If a cushy or soft mattress is important to you, this is not your place. Also, the wifi didn't reach up to the top floor. But if those things aren't necessary, I urge you to choose Casa Grazia for your time in Taormina. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We stayed 2 nights here with our 17yr old son and we had the top floor room with terrace. The room was basic but the views from the terrace made it, especially the stunning view across Taormina to Etna, You are so high you can see across other roof terraces. Room was well cleaned and worth it for 75 without breakfast. Mario was very helpful but what we liked the most was the way he followed up on a suggestion in order to check we were ok. He is also quite sociable and likes to talk: beware his English is not that good. One warning: he had missed our reservation for the way back, so do double check with him that all is as you think it is. The breakfast bar nearby is hugely popular ; personally we found bar Pirandelllo made nicer granitas.
