We first went to this resort in August 2022. At that time, we were blown away by the amazing service, amenities, and overall experience. I wish I would’ve made a review at that time. The general manager made an effort to greet us and made us feel like true vips even though we really weren’t haha. Top notch service! Had I made a review, it would’ve been a five star plus. We have stayed at many fairmont and have accor diamond status but this resort is up there with our favorites. We loved the resort so much that we had to come back. It’s not the easiest trip for us as we are from Canada, but it is well worth the journey. That being said, please don’t let the distance discourage you as it really is only one connection from many cities in Europe. We flew direct from Calgary to Barcelona stayed there for five days and then took the flight over to Agadir. We were picked up at the airport by our lovely driver, Youssef. He was professional and friendly. The traffic in Agadir can be somewhat erratic, but Youssef was very safe and made us feel secure. If you get a driver ask for Youssef 10/10 recommend. When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted by a lovely team who met us with welcome drinks and cool towels. They right away made us feel like we were at home. We had booked a one bedroom ocean view suite but they upgraded us to a spectacular two bedroom suite that overlooked the resort/ocean. We never expected this upgrade, but what a treat. We are so thankful! The room was meticulous and everything we could have wanted was there. Housekeeping and room service were very attentive and responded quickly to any request that we had. Every staff member greeted us with a warm smile. The beach and facilities are top-notch. We never had any issues getting any beach chairs. The beach attendants were very attentive and always made sure that we had enough shade from the sun. They were constantly adjusting our umbrella and ensuring we had enough towels. One service that we particularly enjoyed was the glasses cleaning service. Every morning, a lovely young man would come down and offer to clean our glasses at the beach. He even cleaned our young daughter’s sunglasses and they have never been cleaner. I wish I would’ve got his name and I wish I would’ve gotten the names of the beach staff as they were all incredible and deserve recognition. As for dining, the food is incredible. The breakfast buffet offers a lovely array of fresh fruits, to die for pastries, made to order eggs, and many Moroccan dishes. Once again, the staff at the breakfast restaurant was very attentive constantly checking to see if we needed more coffee or juice. The beef and refresh restaurant is a lovely atmosphere and offers some tasty food. The new restaurant paper moon, was to die for. The assistant manager is a treasure. She came and chatted with us for several minutes, sharing interesting details about the resort and talking about her background. She spoke several languages and

We visited from 30th December for 7 nights with our son, his girlfriend and to celebrate his 20th birthday which is 31st December and the new year. The hotel was beautiful, with spacious and well equipped rooms although turn down and housekeeping could be a little Arabic. An excellent choice of restaurants and pools with service very good overall. We had an issue on 31st at our dinner when arrangements which had been made re a cake for birthday etc did not materialise as agreed. It wasn’t until the last day of our holiday that someone tried to resolve this. The spa facilities are also not available to use unless with a booked treatment which again was not made to clear to us and unlike other 5* hotels such as jumeriah/ Oberoi etc. However we enjoyed the holiday in the sun and would return.

The other recent reviews cover off the great staff wonderful rooms cleanliness and superb setting/pools. Can only say that we agree it’s wonderful and We would return but here are a couple of downsides that you need to know about; daily room servicing is great standard but we waited till 430 pm on two days despite being out all day and have service room lit from 10am on both rooms so tip here is to phone up and ask them to service the rooms when you leave. Restaurants - there are three, Italian, Japanese and a bistro type all good but don’t open for dinner till 8pm which is not great if you have children. Food good quality but again the kids will only get pizza or burgers every night it’s not varied enough they could do with a buffet for residents. As there is nowhere locally to eat you’re a bit stuck other travellers have mentioned this but nothing has changed. Breakfast - order any eggs as soon as you get there as it can take half an hour for them to turn up and you can only chase your order with the person you ordered it with the other staff won’t help. Breakfast choice is great and the cooks on the stations are really helpful just the waiting staff don’t seem able to help or the hosts. Spa - again it’s outstanding and treatments are fabulous but really frustrating you can’t use the steam rooms or pool unless you’re having a treatment unlike other fair mounts so it was empty most days which seems ridiculous. I had to go out of the hotel to the Hilton up the road if I wanted a sauna or steam room as could pay to use that. Don’t let these things put you off just be forewarned if you like to eat earlier or want your room cleaned in the morning or like saunas/ steam this may not be for you

Location is amazing, stayed 3 nights, booked spa treatments, ate at 3 restaurants including their kobe beef which was a bit overcooked that wasn’t a big issue but what left a bad aftertaste was was during check out they charge for every soft drink in the mini bar without any notification in the rooms before hand…also during checkout my son asked for some juice that they served arriving guests and they just said no…It doesn’t cost that much to me but it felt cheap. I have stayed at many fairmont hotels and similarly rated hotels and never has this been done. Kinds of overshadows the rest of the service. This issue is not the staff but the leadership behind it.
