It is truly a small luxury hotel set in a beautiful tranquil area. You wake up to the sound of nature to enjoy a simple continental or Sri Lankan breakfast (must preorder the night before) over looking the pool, onto the forest and the sea. It is easy to forget your worries and immerse yourself in this serene surroundings. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay by another night, and during our entire stay there was only one other family, making it a truly exceptionally peaceful experience. It is important to note that the hotel is located up the mountain so be prepared you will need to get a tuk tuk or a driver to get you to and fro the hustle and bustle of the coastal towns. If you are keen on being amongst the action, this will feel highly inconvenient. If you are committed to quietude I would highly recommend going for the larger rooms, as it truly elevates the experience and don’t forget to treat yourself to a spa treatment as well. The hotel is well appointed and maintained, but the furnishings are starting to get a little run down if you examine closely. The staff are plentiful and helpful, however some are a little amateurish. They do run on island time so if you are in the rush (eg early check out), you have been warned. Overall a wonderful experience at an excellent price point - at around $250 USD per night, I would come back again.
