Hotel Sonar Bangla Taki

This company doesn't have humanity.I booked two rooms at Soner Bangla taki. A relative of mine died after I paid the advance amount. So we are canceling the plan. They forfeit the whole amount which I paid. Such a big company had to have an aspect called humanity.

The hotel is over hyped and over priced compared to the service and hospitality that they provide. The rooms on the first look seem untidy and unhygienic. The toilet is totally horrendous. The pool water was toooooo green. The toilet had no ventilation. It seemed flimsy. The mirror was worn out. The room had no full length mirror. No bottled mineral water in the room. Tha fan was making too much sound. No green tea sachets in the room. They were running full occupancy yet only 1 choice of soft drink was available. The reception smelled of fish curry all the time. Coming down to the food..below average taste, menu and ambience. The breakfast doesn't start before 8.30 am which was shocking to me. Staff was rude. The entire way to the resort does not have a single sign board. I stayed in the superior room

It's truly a very beautiful property. The quaint and quiet town of Taki is famous for sharing the boundary with Bangladesh. I was here to spend some quality time with friends and family. The lawns are lavish and enough space is dedicated to just sit and gaze at the river and Bangladesh on the other side. Although the lobby area is very small, but more attention is given to the landscaping and walkability of the property. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool, gym, play room, banquet and a restaurant as well. You can also enjoy a boat ride on the Icchamati river. The rooms are nice and big, with a comfortable bed and good views of the Icchamati River. The washroom was a bit dull in terms of lighting and for amenities, dental kit and comb was provided. Try to get the rooms on the higher floors so that you get a sweeping view of the river, stretching to views of Bangladesh. They also have duplex cottages now. Coming to the food, breakfast was a cacophony. Since this was a weekend, the resort was packed and everyone was in for breakfast. It was like a rural wedding with a maddening crowd. Food was coming in and immediately getting wiped off. :P Breakfast and lunch were superb. Dinner was not at all good. Only starters were up to the mark. They have a Sky Lounge on the terrace that serve liquor as well. Didn't order room service, so cannot comment. The staff is not 100%, somewhat rude and slow. Will surely come here once again for the duplex ones.

The hotel staff are excellent specially in dining hall Mr Nityananda Das is v sobar and excellent well behaved...the over wall ambiance is just awesome..The hotel has a excellent swimming pool and one must try the ferry service ..the food here is excellent and reasonable price ...

This is the only 3 star in the region and hence is teeming with people. The view from the hotel is fantastic and they have helpful staff. I liked the food but there is no fancy options. Now the negatives : cleanliness in room and public areas need to be improved…the bathrooms are smelly. The vendors shout in front of the hotel which is disturbing. The approach road is too narrow.

We have a good stay over there. Good service Good food Good place to enjoy (inside the resort) We had a meeting their staff helped so much Especially Mr.Partha Quality of all is good Nearby border river is there It’s very good to see the view of it from hotel

We had a wonderful experience at Sonar Bangla. The hotel rooms ***** with the washrooms and balcony were very spacious. The best part is the food served at Icchamati Restaurant. Priya and her team mates took special care of my father and our family. Thanks to the entire Sonar Bangla team.

Excellent stay. The room was comfortable, bed linen was clean and the cleanliness of the room was good. Washroom was clean and the amenities were good. A suggestion - maybe a hair dryer should be provided. A moisturiser is a must for every washroom - kindly see to it. The garden is well maintained , huge property spaced out and it helps that guests don't feel cramped. Superb. Other than that, the staff whether at the reception , or house keeping or at the restaurant. The Ala carte menu is good and the quality of food served is excellent. Here, standing out is your staff and service . Mr Noor was someone stands out and his demeanour , service and courteousness stands out. As I end my review and stay draws to a close, I can happily stand and vocally say that this property is worth a stay and for revisits. I commend the entire team

This is a nice property by the side of the Icchamati River at Bangladesh border.. nice facility and nice staff.. Shuvo from housekeeping has been very helpful.. Only improvement area is the food n breakfast spread.. recommend to look into by the mgt.
