Hotel in zona Shoren-ji Temple, Takayama

The hotel is only 1 block across the JR station with many restaurants around the area, less than 10 minutes leisure walk to the historic area. Room is very well maintained and spacious, with comfortable beddings, strong showers. The hotel is very responsive with my emails and questions, I feel that they are really trying their best to accomodate my request with occupant change that we really appreciate. Breakfast is adequate with a good selection of hot dishes, Japanese and continental. Overall a great hotel in Takayama

La stanza era molto spaziosa secondo le norme giapponesi. Mi piaceva che offrissero tre stronzate private che non potreste usare a nessun costo aggiuntivo senza prenotazione richiesta. Il gelato gratuito è disponibile dopo il bagno. Ci sono hotel più vicini alla stazione JR Takayama, ma è ancora una passeggiata ragionevole.

L'Hotel Takayama è la casa perfetta a Takayama, Gifu Japan.Questo hotel si trova proprio oltre il Terminal di Nohi Bus, che è vicino alla stazione ferroviaria Takayama. Quando partete dall'autobus, vedrete immediatamente l'edificio.Oltre alla loro posizione perfetta, questo hotel dispone anche di un KONBINI (sono negozi di comodità giapponesi) Family Mart al piano terra, aperto 24 ore. I mercati mattinali, Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, Old Town Street, Hida Kokubunji Temple e il ponte Nakabashi sono pochi posti turistici che si possono accedere facilmente a piedi (10-15 minuti) dall'hotel. La stanza è abbastanza spaziosa per me, ha un tipo di stanza singolo ma penso che possa ospitare 2 persone. Ho potuto prenotare online attraverso Agoda.com per Php 4, 024.78, non male! Ha tutte le strutture di base che si possono trovare in una stanza, tra cui un comodo vestito da letto. La stanza è molto pulita e puzza così bene. Considerandomi erroneamente prenotato la stanza del tipo fumatore. L'unico punto in basso che avevo circa la stanza è che il riscaldamento era rotto. Era così caldo all'interno, grazie a Dio era tempo invernale, così ho appena aperto la finestra. Così freddo vento dall'esterno può entrare. In generale, Country Hotel Takayama è ALTAMENTE RECOMANDATO lontano dalla loro posizione perfetta. Il personale è molto buono, parla inglese e molto utile e accogliente. Il loro manager mi ha aiutato a prenotare un taxi che mi sta andando a prendere sull'autostrada sulla mia strada verso Gujo Hachiman. Perché i taxi a Gujo Hachiman sono prenotati un giorno prima della tua arrivo e non parlano inglese affatto. E se sei un filipino, probabilmente ti farai saltare in uno dei nostri kababayan che lavora in questo hotel. Finora è l'unica Pinoy qui e parla Bisaya, da Davao City. Spero che questo post di aiuto ti aiuterà nel tuo futuro viaggio alla bella città di Takayama.

Muro-San e tutti sono molto amichevoli e utili. Ti fanno sentire bene e felice. Anche il custode è stato utile. Anche se non capiamo quello che stiamo cercando di dire, hanno avuto difficoltà a spiegare e hanno anche preso un traduttore per poter comunicare con una migliore comunicazione. Hanno fornito servizi come il pulizia dell'olio, la pulizia della schiuma, l'umidificatore facciale, il toner, la crema di rasoio e dopo la rasoio toner per tutti i loro ospiti

Extremely well located if you want to be right next to the train station and bus station - my room overlooked the tracks. Provision of washing machine and dryer is a superb bonus inroom as are the full cooking facilities. The hotel intelligently provides basics such as oil, salt, coffee, tea and even a couple of detergent sachets for the washing. Strangelt though, no knives or other cutting implements of any kind. A tip if you intent to cook. The Family Mart opposite is basic, but there is a huge supermarket under the tracks and just beyond MacDonalds where you can get international food as well as Japanese. Slightly dreary corridors and a reception crowded with people waiting for their room to become available. But on the plus side they let me into my room early as I was unwell at the time.

I was quite disappointed by the services of this hotel. It should mention it’s a self-help apartment instead of call itself a hotel so that customers’s expectations won’t be mismatched. No hotel service provided here like no towel changing, no room tidying up service, etc. my room is a tatami room, I have to set up 4 tatami beds all by myself. when I tried to book for breakfast, the staff told me it’s full, when I tried to book the carpark, staff giving unclear information and made me failed to book upon my arrival. I arrived earlier to book for carpark, the staff said the reservation for carpark will be opened at 3pm. When I arrived at 5pm, the carpark is full. Then I asked if I could book the carpark for tomorrow, the staff said cannot book now, I asked when is the carpark slot opened for reserve, the receptionist said 10am. Really confusing ……. Staff can’t communicate in English but they will use the translation machine. Pros side is the Room is spacious but with if you are looking for hotel it’s not, better call it a self help apartment

Hotel magnifico, completamente nove camere di buona dimensione , accanto alla stazione, ma, senza rumore e non lontano dai quartieri tradizionali della città. Onsen all'interno, possibilità di prenotare per 45mn. Grande scoperta, tutto il comfort, questo hotel a pieno di piccoli dettagli per un ottimo soggiorno e, ovviamente, il suo personale e sempre a piccoli cure con noi, con grande gentilezza .

This hotel provided great service and clean accommodations. I love that hotels in Japan provide pajamas and toothbrushes. This hotel had two public baths. It's nice that they have one bath where the water is not as hot. We had the dinner buffet. It included American and chinese offerings. You receive a ticket for one serving of the Hida beef. I thought the food was good. I like that the portions are small, so you can try a lot of things. We also had the breakfast buffet which included Takayama specialty items too. There is a large souvenir shop in the hotel, so you are able to pick up gifts. I thought the prices are comparable to other gift shops. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the train station. It is a 7 minute walk to the train station, so it's not so bad. They only have two shuttles that go to Takayama Jinya (government house) which is across the bridge from Sanmachi Suji. Otherwise it's at least a 20-25 minute walk. I wish they had more shuttles to that area. There is not much to look at on the way from the hotel to Sanmachi. As Takayama becomes more popular with tourists, most of the hotel staff and store owners are able to communicate in English. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the hotel and would stay there again.

It's my fault for not upgrading to a superior room because the standard rooms are very small. That said, it was well designed and used every available bit of space. The small double bed was pushed against the wall so not ideal for 2 people. Luckily the corridor/space beside the bathroom was quite wide so I was just able to open my large suitcase. There was a nice light duvet on the bed and hard/seed pillows. The bathroom was compact but allowed for a deepish bath. The air conditioning was powerful. There was a TV but there were no English tv channels. There was a small armchair to sit in and a table, a desk/dressing table, a stool and various ledges to put stuff on. There was no in room safe. The breakfast was ok. Self service with cereal and rolls as well as a lot of Japanese choices. My room was on the ground floor and there was parking outside. The hotel provided a shuttle to get to the town centre which was convenient but allow enough time to find the bus stop for the return. I very nearly missed it because I couldn't make sense of the map provided (you had to go inside the train station and up and over the railway tracks to get to the right bus stop!). It was perfectly adequate for one night but if I was to return I'd chose a hotel in the centre of town so that restaurants and shopping/sightseeing is easier to get to.

Yatsusankan is a traditional ryokan, well established in Hida. It’s located among narrow streets with picturesque Japanese style wooden buildings. Within walking distance of the JR station (they have a shuttle too) and shops. Our room was spacious and comfortable with its own bath. AC in the bedroom. Good wifi. Very clean and well stocked with toiletries, tea, coffee, and cold drinks. Meals are at set times and we enjoyed omikase and shabu shabu during our two night stay. We chose Japanese breakfast which was also delicious, although western style is also available. There’s a very nice communal bath, indoor and outdoor. One for men and one for women. The building has a long history so it’s worth looking around if you have time. Service is warm and attentive with guests being made to feel right at home. If you’re planning a visit to Hida or the area, then Yatsusankan would be a great choice to experience traditional ryokan with great service and a bit of history.
