Hotel in zona Karasawadake, Takayama

It's my fault for not upgrading to a superior room because the standard rooms are very small. That said, it was well designed and used every available bit of space. The small double bed was pushed against the wall so not ideal for 2 people. Luckily the corridor/space beside the bathroom was quite wide so I was just able to open my large suitcase. There was a nice light duvet on the bed and hard/seed pillows. The bathroom was compact but allowed for a deepish bath. The air conditioning was powerful. There was a TV but there were no English tv channels. There was a small armchair to sit in and a table, a desk/dressing table, a stool and various ledges to put stuff on. There was no in room safe. The breakfast was ok. Self service with cereal and rolls as well as a lot of Japanese choices. My room was on the ground floor and there was parking outside. The hotel provided a shuttle to get to the town centre which was convenient but allow enough time to find the bus stop for the return. I very nearly missed it because I couldn't make sense of the map provided (you had to go inside the train station and up and over the railway tracks to get to the right bus stop!). It was perfectly adequate for one night but if I was to return I'd chose a hotel in the centre of town so that restaurants and shopping/sightseeing is easier to get to.

È a soli cinque-dieci minuti dalla stazione della città di Takayama, il che è molto comodo. Puoi andare al supermercato in circa 5-10 minuti. ６ Lavoro con esso in un mese.La reception mi spiega il ristorante di cena (bar) raccomandato molto utile.La piscina pubblica ha un limite di tempo, ma l'ho usata presto mattina. Il bagno è un piccolo salone di biancheria dove solo ３, ma quando lo uso, sono solo, quindi posso rilassarmi.A causa del cavo elettrico, la colazione è un pranzo.Purtroppo, il pranzo e la zuppa di sapore non sono deliziosi, ho lasciato la maggior parte. Il costo del soggiorno è economico, ci sono molti bar e negozi di latte nella zona, quindi penso che sia un hotel conveniente.

The hotel is only 1 block across the JR station with many restaurants around the area, less than 10 minutes leisure walk to the historic area. Room is very well maintained and spacious, with comfortable beddings, strong showers. The hotel is very responsive with my emails and questions, I feel that they are really trying their best to accomodate my request with occupant change that we really appreciate. Breakfast is adequate with a good selection of hot dishes, Japanese and continental. Overall a great hotel in Takayama

Hotel magnifico, completamente nove camere di buona dimensione , accanto alla stazione, ma, senza rumore e non lontano dai quartieri tradizionali della città. Onsen all'interno, possibilità di prenotare per 45mn. Grande scoperta, tutto il comfort, questo hotel a pieno di piccoli dettagli per un ottimo soggiorno e, ovviamente, il suo personale e sempre a piccoli cure con noi, con grande gentilezza .

Partiamo dal grande distretto a Alta montagna di sera, e scegliamo l'hotel perché è situato all'ovest della stazione JR e della stazione di autobus alta montagna, che è molto conveniente.Il personale di check-in sembra un po'congelato come se non volesse parlarti di più, ma l'inglese è buono. La camera dell'hotel è piccola e un po'soleta. La spazzatura fornisce strutture di base, ma è ancora pulita.Il nostro prezzo della casa ha pacchetto la colazione, inaspettatamente la buona qualità della colazione. Ho ordinato la colazione giapponese con pesce sandwich e le foglie di pesce alpino conosciute come alpino, molto deliziosa e dolce. La zona di Goshan non è molto grande, quindi il passo è stato possibile visitare i principali luoghi di turismo e shopping di Goshan.

It is probably the most conveniently located hotel in Takayama, just right next to the Takayama JR train station and bus terminal. The room I stayed in has excellent view of the city, the train station and the surrounding mountains in the distance. As with most Japanese hotels, the room size is not large, but is comfortable enough for a couple or including a small child. There is even a washing machine and a microwave oven inside the room. The hotel staff are friendly and speak good English. Restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and there are also Onsen bath facilities. The restaurant does not serve lunch and dinner need reservation. There are restaurants near the old town area, which is about 10 to 15 minutes walking distance East of the hotel. The location of the hotel near to the JR station and bus terminal make it an excellent base station to explore the nearby tourist locations like Shirakawa and other places for day-trip visits. It is also easily accessible from Nagoya, which is just 2.5 hours away by local trains. Shirakawa-go is 50 minutes away by local bus from the bus terminal beside the train station. The Takayama park (South East of old town area) is definitely worth exploring especially during the autumn when the fall foliage is really spectacular.

La stanza era molto spaziosa secondo le norme giapponesi. Mi piaceva che offrissero tre stronzate private che non potreste usare a nessun costo aggiuntivo senza prenotazione richiesta. Il gelato gratuito è disponibile dopo il bagno. Ci sono hotel più vicini alla stazione JR Takayama, ma è ancora una passeggiata ragionevole.

Yatsusankan is a traditional ryokan, well established in Hida. It’s located among narrow streets with picturesque Japanese style wooden buildings. Within walking distance of the JR station (they have a shuttle too) and shops. Our room was spacious and comfortable with its own bath. AC in the bedroom. Good wifi. Very clean and well stocked with toiletries, tea, coffee, and cold drinks. Meals are at set times and we enjoyed omikase and shabu shabu during our two night stay. We chose Japanese breakfast which was also delicious, although western style is also available. There’s a very nice communal bath, indoor and outdoor. One for men and one for women. The building has a long history so it’s worth looking around if you have time. Service is warm and attentive with guests being made to feel right at home. If you’re planning a visit to Hida or the area, then Yatsusankan would be a great choice to experience traditional ryokan with great service and a bit of history.
