Set on half an acre of lovely tropical gardens, and located on the Awanui River, Waters Edge B&B Kaitaia features free Wi-Fi. All accommodations offers a patio and flat-screen TV. Guests can enjoy a cooked breakfast daily.
Located in Kaitaia, Waters Edge B&B is 5 minutes’ drive from shops and restaurants. It is 10 minutes’ drive from Ninety Mile Beach. It is 5 minutes’ walk from buses to Ninety Mile Beach.
Awake to a tasty breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, tomatoes, muesli and toast. Fresh fruit is also available.
All accommodations features garden views, a refrigerator and a seating area. Some accommodations offers a kitchenette. An electric blanket and tea/coffee making facilities are standard in all accommodations.

We were met by the owner, a charming South African, who was very chatty and informative. The room was compact but had everything we needed for our two night stay. The bed was very comfortable, the small kitchenette area was good, and the location was just right. The only slight improvement I would suggest is to sort out the approach driveway which is a bit bumpy. Breakfast was excellent, and helped set us up for the day. The shower room was clean and tidy and the shower was great.

We had a fantastic stay, great hosts, awesome breakfast, we booked last minute and we felt very welcomed - we couldn't fault it at all, comfortable bed and great water pressurein the shower - lovely and clean - we will definitely be back and we will be recommending to others - thank you

Queen Bedroom. Had everything one could want. Spotlessly clean. Great shower, warm comfy bed. Alistair the perfect host. Welcoming, a font of local knowledge, proud of Kaitaia and its community. Cereal and bacon and eggs and all the trimmings. We were very impressed. That review from Janny Chahurd can not possibly apply to this hotel. When I searched Waters Edge on Google, the first hotel with same name came that came up is based in Sri Lanka .. 😃 just saying.

Alistair is a nice host. The place really needs a makeover - the decor is tired and the furniture could do with some TLC - the table our TV was on had wonky legs and we were scared to move it in case it fell apart!!. The pool is no longer available - we were told it is currently under construction - it is more like a pond for frogs - very sad because it would be a lovely outlook, huge asset and a wonderful place to sit and have a quiet drink after a day in the sun. The daily breakfast is nice but it is the same every day - suggest some variety or perhaps offering different ways for customers to have their eggs - not everyone prefers them fried. Would have been good if the kitchenette had a toaster and maybe a frypan so that we could have cooked if we wanted to - there was only a microwave and a small fridge. We were made to feel very welcome with lots of nice chats with the host.
