PPUAY PUAYWe've stayed at Green World ZhongXiao Hotel every time we've visited Taipei, primarily because of its prime location – just a minute's walk from the subway and surrounded by a variety of eateries, cafes, and shops. While the location has always been excellent, the service has consistently been disappointing.
However, our most recent stay in April was particularly frustrating. While the service remained subpar, the hotel took things a step further by removing all amenities. To make matters worse, they posted a misleading notice claiming that this change was part of their commitment to government initiatives for a sustainable future. While we understand the importance of sustainability, it didn’t excuse the rude and unhelpful behavior we encountered when asking for something as simple as a shower cap—especially since it was clearly stated that we could request one if needed. What was even more frustrating was that the need to bring your own amenities was never communicated to guests prior to booking nor displayed on their website. Additionally, room cleaning was not provided unless specifically requested. This sentiment was echoed by both locals and foreigners.
I believe the hotel has room for significant improvement in service standards and better communication to ensure a more pleasant experience for guests.

MMartin Anthony MiszerakPer essere equi a questo hotel, la posizione è molto buona, il servizio alla reception è molto buona e le camere sono piuttosto belle. Sono stato anche aggiornato in una piccola suite. In caso contrario, tuttavia, l'hotel non merita 4 stelle; 2,5* è il più che gli darei. E' terribilemente vecchio e richiede una riparazione urgente. Le cose si sono letteralmente scomparse nella mia stanza. Il colazione, che si diceva incluso nella mia prenotazione, era un'irritazione totale. Alcuni altri ospiti dell'hotel che sono venuti a colazione hanno deciso chiaramente di uscire a vedere cosa l'hotel offre.

From the hotel design and customer service to the room quality, everything was perfect!
This hotel is great for people who like to social. They regularly host events at The Social (see photos).
We booked the room with a King sized bed. The room was much more spacious than we thought. There was even a balcony! The Japanese-style bathtub was amazing too. And since the hotel just opened last year, everything is relatively new.
The little things that count:
- Over 10 sockets with built in adapter
- Room can be 99% dark
- Really comfortable slippers
- Consistent water temperature for the showers
- Strong hair dryer
- A large variety of amenities
- Well-maintained gym
While I love the mood and vibe of the room, it might not be suitable for people who need to work as the lighting might not be sufficient.
Once again, I don't guarantee that you will have the same experience but I will definitely come back and highly recommend it to everyone!
Bonus: The restaurant (Texas Roadhouse) on the G/F has great service and quality food too! But since there are limited breakfast choices, I wouldn't recommend you get it every day if you're staying for long.

LLetihappyperfect services, breakfast has limited choices but already good enough. location is good, 5 mins walk to underground and many restaurants or shops around the hotel. clean but the hotel itself is a bit out and aging.

HhansBella hotel a pulizia con un servizio eccellente per le camere di pulizia.Molto è lasciato alle gorge come pulire dopo colazione, fare la tua lavanderia, tagliare l'acqua potabile, ma tutto funziona bene.Un negozio di metropolitana e mercato familiare vicino alla porta.

PPaige LimWe booked three superior rooms and one of the rooms was smaller than the rest, even though we had paid the same price. The rooms were functional and clean, and housekeeping was prompt (before 10am). Breakfast selection was limited but sufficient. However, service standards should be improved - the staff were not very helpful in addressing our needs. When my family member needed a new hairdryer because the current one was not working, she had to make multiple calls as the staff was trying to get her to troubleshoot herself. When our card key couldn’t work, we had to go to the counter a few times to get the staff to assist. Despite these flaws, the location of the hotel was great though (5 mins from da’an MTR with convenience shops along the walk), so it was easy to get around as well as to get supplies.
