Hoya Hot Springs Resort Guanziling

Not as clean as I expected, felt the pools were not properly disinfected. Also I was surprised there’s no indoor pools available and there are only 4-5 pools outside. Much smaller than expected The breakfast selection is really really great

First time visiting Guanziling, so we hired a private driver to send us to the hotel from Tainan. We were there on a Saturday, and it was quiet and peaceful. Room was comfortable, 2 single beds, a couch, tv, and a big balcony with hot tub. The room balcony's hot tub had mineral hot spring water, and the hot temperature could be adjusted by turning on the cold-water tap. We enjoyed the hotel's indoor mud mineral hot springs as there were only the 2 of us using it on that Saturday evening! Big pool and the temperature of the mud mineral water was just nice. Additionally, the hotel also had several outside pools with various temperature settings. There were the 2 of us with another family of 4 adults and 4 kids. It was really nice for the place to be not crowded on a weekday evening. All of us were in our swimsuits and cap. There were 2 things I didn't like (personal preference). The corridor lightings were dim, and toilet paper cannot be flushed. Breakfast was the usual ********* food which was okay for us. On the day of checkout, we looked around the lobby as they had facial products on display for sale. Bought 2 bottles of mud mineral face mask (yet to use, so no comments) and a luxury rose and face body butter, as it smelled nice. Back home when I took a closer look at the body butter packaging, it gave me a surprise to see that the product was made in Thailand lol. Front desk staff helped us order a private driver to send us to Chiayi HSR station (NT 1000 for 1 way).

Near to eateries. All walking distance. And also Guanziling Tourist Center just beside the hotel. Famous roasted chicken also just within walking distance. However breakfast is just so so.

Booked a room with a private hot spring to enjoy the bath at my leisure. Staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Excellent Hot Spring Hotel, Great Rooms and Hot Springs. Opposite to restaurants and convenience store

The mud hot spring in the hotel room is diluted, perhaps it is a pump flaw / weakness as I was assigned a room at Level 5. It is a pity there is not much mineral mud content compared to neighbouring hotels. Breakfast consists of simple countryside dishes.

The hotel is old and it shows. There are many pools in the onsen area and guests are required to wear swimsuits and swimming caps. The rooms look like they have to renovated but all public area and pools are aged and cleanliness can be improved. The selection at breakfast is basic but it is fair for what we were charged. The receptionists at the front desk are very nice and helpful.
