"In generale, questo è stato un buon soggiorno per una notte. La posizione è nel centro di Sydney vicino alla stazione di centro e Museo.

"La camera è molto spaziosa e dispone di un bagno. La struttura era un po' unica, quindi era sorprendente e divertente.
Perche' è una città, spesso ci sono rumore al mattino. Per circa dieci minuti al mattino, il suono di avvertimento continua a uscire e fermarsi, e le persone che sono sensibili al sonno dovrebbero essere attenti. Sono tutti soddisfatti! :))"

"Abbiamo soggiornato nel tipo di camera SoHo Suitesz. La stanza era grande e ben attrezzata, soprattutto la cucina, che era molto buona. Ha un forno a gas, pote e panini, un lavastoviglie, un caffè e un piccolo frigorifero. Il letto era grande e comodo, e ci erano diverse scelte di cucina, la stanza è pulita ogni giorno, si può guardare YouTube sulla TV, la posizione è anche molto buona, 10 minuti a piedi dal supermercato, 10 minuti a piedi da Chinatown, 15 minuti a piedi da Darling Harbor, 10 minuti a piedi dalla Stazione Centrale, ricezione Il personale è amichevole e tranquillo a notte.
Siamo alloggiati nel tipo di camera SoHo Suitesz, la stanza è molto grande, tutti i mobili sono completi, soprattutto la cucina è molto buona, il bagno è tutto, il lavastoviglie e il caffè sono tutti completi, il frigorifero non è piccolo. Il letto è molto comodo, ci sono diverse scelte di tappeti, ci sono camere pulite ogni giorno, La TV può scegliere di guardare Youtube, il posto è anche molto buono, camminare 10 minuti dal supermercato, camminare anche 10 minuti dalla Città cinese, camminare anche 15 minuti da Darwin Port, camminare 10 minuti dalla stazione centrale, accogliente gentile, tranquillo anche la notte, raccomandato!!"

"This was an economical choice for us and we were very pleased with this hotel for its fantastic location, comfy bed and amenities in the room (they had a workspace, kettle and refrigerator). The hotel's area is very walkable and stays pretty quiet during sleeping hours.
When checking in you most likely will have to approach the bar at the restaurant and they will bring you around to the check in counter. The man who checked us in was very pleasant and gave us a thorough explanation of how to use the key card and invited us to enjoy the restaurant. The restaurant/bar looked pretty decent and they had a bottle shop connected to the hotel that was open late but we didn't try either.
The bed sheets could use better cleaning and we found the shower to be a bit leaky and it was tricky to get the right pressure and temperature. There are no issues getting hot water here and their shower toiletries are good.
The hotel is a 6 minute walk to the metro with Museum station and about a 3 minute walk to the tram. The museum station connects with the airport and the tram goes right to Sydney Harbour Circular Quay. Many of the city's attractions are close to the hotel like Queen Victoria Building, Sydney Town Hall and Hyde Park to name a few and all things we wanted to see were within a 30 minute walk. Lots of good restaurants nearby and a Woolworth's was pretty much just below us. There are quite a few street performers and buskers in the area so you can walk around and enjoy that too.
Great location and we would highly consider coming back here if we visit Sydney again."

UUtente ospiteMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3.
The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”.
Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review.
1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels.
2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative.
3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious.
4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable.
Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

DDiamondgirl12Great location within walking distance of good sights. Room was clean and showers and toilets were better than I imagined! Not a lover of sharing but it wasn’t bad at all. Was able to store my luggage there when I couldn’t check in yet, and after I checked out. Reception area was nice and welcoming. Would have been nice to have had towels provided or at least got the full amount back on return. Seems a little odd having to pay for them and give them back, if I’d have known I would have taken my own. Didn’t have time to eat in the cafe downstairs as there were so many other places in Sydney I wanted to visit but it looked good! The noise in the club below was very loud and did keep me awake until the early hours!

PPriya24L'hotel è vicino all'università Macquirie e accanto c'è un bar dove prendere degli spuntini. La colazione gratuita è un vantaggio ma può fare di meglio con le varietà. Rimanendo lì più di 2 giorni, sceglierai di mangiare fuori per colazione. La lavanderia e la palestra sono luoghi piccoli ma comunque comodi. La biancheria da letto è eccezionalmente confortevole.

La maggior parte della gente qui è in un visto di lavoro e vacanza, non un vero viaggiatore, è molto stupido per me cercare di fare alcuni amici mentre ero qui 😅

Location: Convenient, but Parking Woes
The location of Furama Darling Harbour is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Nestled within walking distance of numerous restaurants offering cuisines from all over the globe, it was a food lover's dream. Finding the hotel wasn’t a challenge either, thanks to clear signage and central placement.
However, the parking situation? That’s another story. The hotel doesn’t have an on-site parking lot. Instead, we had to park about a five-minute walk away, which isn’t ideal when lugging bags or dealing with Sydney’s occasional drizzle. Plus, the cost added up—$244 AUD for six days. If parking convenience matters to you, it’s worth factoring this in.
Cleanliness: Mixed Experiences
Cleanliness was... average, to say the least. While the first day seemed fine, housekeeping didn’t exactly shine as the stay went on. On Day 2, we were surprised (and not in a good way) to find dirty towels left after the room was cleaned. Fast forward to Day 5, and we found toilet paper and stray hairs under the blanket after housekeeping had supposedly “refreshed” the space. Not exactly the five-star housekeeping you’d hope for.
To be fair, we didn’t raise the issue with reception that evening—it was our last night, and we figured housekeeping staff would already be off-duty. But, as a guest, you shouldn’t have to weigh these options.
Service: Quick and Friendly, But a Breakfast Mishap
Service at Furama Darling Harbour was a bright spot overall. The staff were warm, responsive, and accommodating, whether it was resolving issues with the TV or bringing up extra towels.
That said, we hit a snag with the included breakfast. Our booking clearly stated breakfast for four people per room, which should have covered eight of us across two rooms. Yet, when we went down, they claimed the booking only covered four breakfasts total. After some back-and-forth with both hotel staff and Trip’s customer service, the issue was resolved. But it wasn’t exactly a stress-free start to the day.
Facilities: Functional, But Nothing Fancy
The gym was basic but functional—a single machine covering major muscle groups, though no free weights were in sight. It’s fine if you’re just looking to get in a quick workout. The laundry room was handy, though a bit pricey: $5 AUD each to wash and dry, plus $3 AUD for detergent.
Breakfast, while initially enjoyable, became repetitive after two days. A buffet should ideally offer more variety, but here the options changed only slightly. Updating the in-room TVs to include smart features wouldn’t hurt either; it felt like the tech was stuck in the past.
Rooms: Spacious and Comfortable
Now, for the standout feature—the rooms. They were impressively spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and still enough space to move around comfortably. The beds? Absolute heaven. I slept like a rock every night, with no noise disturbances or distractions.
The bathroom mirrored this sense of space, steering clear of that cramped, claustrophobic feeling that some hotels suffer from. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that values comfort this much.
Final Thoughts: Worth a Stay, Despite Flaws
Would I recommend Furama Darling Harbour? Absolutely, especially for families. The spacious rooms, friendly service, and fantastic location make it a strong contender. Yes, cleanliness and parking could use improvement, but the positives—comfortable beds, quiet nights, and accommodating staff—outweigh the negatives.
If you can overlook a few quirks and minor inconveniences, Furama offers a good home base for exploring Sydney. Just be ready for some parking acrobatics and keep an eye on those housekeeping details!

La stanza è ampia e attrezzata con piano cottura, tavolo da pranzo, macchina per il caffè, pentole, stoviglie, lavatrice e asciugatrice, è molto comoda e confortevole per il nostro soggiorno di 10 giorni. Nelle vicinanze sono presenti numerosi ristoranti, tra cui cinesi, tailandesi, giapponesi, vietnamiti e occidentali. È a pochi passi da grandi magazzini e centri commerciali.

Quello che ho preso in considerazione di questo hotel è perché hanno la lavatrice e l'asciugatrice all'interno della camera da letto.
Gli aspetti negativi sono
- questo è un vecchio hotel e per quel prezzo credo che potrei ottenere più servizi di qui
- il letto è molto piccolo (più piccolo di un letto matrimoniale)
- anche la hall è molto piccola (ma puoi prendere un caffè gratis nella hall)
- puzzolente
Quando esci dall'ascensore, senti un odore che è come vecchio e cibo non so cosa sia ma è così puzzolente.
Per le pulizie cambiano sempre gli asciugamani e ci aiutano a buttare la spazzatura.

UUtente ospiteWe booked this accommodation due to its proximity to a nearby stadium venue, where we were going to in the evening. We were advised by ”in the know friend” that the overall area is not the kind you want to be out socially alone in after dark hours. This was evident, as 2 Police officers were in the sporting club venue, as we arrived back around midnight, looking for a person of interest. This was of no concern to us, we were not asked questions by the police, It's just that the police had the only staff working that night, attending to their needs. As part of the accommodation offer, we were generously offered a free drink of wine or beer. We were looking to have a drink before retiring to our rooms, so the staff were caught up with the police officers. My group did to other things, like checked out the TAB and seating in the bar area while waited. ( all very clean & tidy btw) We were eventually attended to and we move on, No worries there, my comments are just to highlight the overall societal concerns of Greenacres area after dark, as we could briefly hear the conversations and requests between the police and staff.
Nevertheless. just speaking about the accomodation, my room was very clean & tidy, I appreciated the air conditioner being on already, as I entered the room. I had all the basic necessities that I needed: towel, fridge, kettle etc. The bathroom & toilets were shared, it was disappointing to see one that in one of the two toilets available, had broken seat that wasn't hinged to the toilet (it looked untidy and it was unknown for how long the seat has been broken). Overall I was very comfortable, i felt safe, I had a great sleep. The next morning, I took advantage of the 2 minute walk to the nearby supermarket for some groceries, the Sunday morning staff all greeted me with a ”good morning,” which was pleasant to hear and made me smile. Returning items to the fridge in my room, I then went back out for a walk lovely walk in the sunshine along the shopping *****, for fresh coffee & food from one of the many family run bakeries just 1 minute down the street from the accommodation. Overall i had a nice pleasant experience!
