L'hotel era pulito e tempestivo, e il colazione era buono, anche se il menu non cambiava mai. La stanza era spaziosa, con una breve passeggiata a Coles e alla stazione ferroviaria. Skipping housekeeping ci ha guadagnato $10 crediti F&B per 2 tazze di caffè. Il balcone era utile per la secchezza dei vestiti. L'hotel sarebbe perfetto se avesse un lavastoviglie per la lavanderia. Inizialmente avevamo intenzione di cucinare in cucina, ma il cibo vicino era troppo delizioso per saltare, quindi non abbiamo finito di cucinare. Non c'era acqua, e le spazzole da denti erano disponibili su richiesta. Il bagno era grande. 2 letti a rotelle con 2 piastrelle su ciascun letto.

The hostel has a very central location and perfect for a city tour. However, located on top of a night club there was a lot of noise - don’t expect to sleep before the club closes. The staff was however, really helpful with changing rooms to a less noisy one!

Le camere sono fantastiche e con bellissimi dettagli. È sorprendente che le camere siano molto moderne per l'edificio anziano. Amorevole il mio soggiorno qui e il personale sono molto attenti! Solo la denuncia potrebbe essere l'ascensore, ma solo una questione al momento di punta (controllo e cena) e fortunatamente anche solo 4 livelli di camere.

The check-in and check-out process is courteous and quick. Breakfast was at a hotel nearby and the food and variety were excellent. We did not use the facilities but were told their spa was recommended. There was a clothes washing machine and detergent provided which we used. It is of 1 room apartment hotel type and as there were 3 of us the sofa in the living room was converted to a bed. Overall our stay was comfortable and we can have a restful sleep. The location is close to tram and train stations and is good for moving around Sydney CBD and its environs including the airport. It is also close to attractions like Circular Quay and The Rocks. There was ongoing renovation but it did not bother us. The place was air-conditioned, but we did not use it as the apartment's temperature was comfortable enough.

UUtente ospiteMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3.
The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”.
Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review.
1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels.
2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative.
3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious.
4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable.
Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

Avere una reception aperta 24 ore su 24 è utile poiché spesso arrivo dopo il lavoro e può essere molto tardi/presto. Anche la colazione è un vantaggio (una colazione calda completa) è migliorata di recente, si sono verificati problemi post COVID ma ora è tornato all'eccellente standard precedente. Le camere sono pulite e abbastanza grandi. L'unico inconveniente è il parcheggio a pagamento, ma di solito riusciamo a trovare parcheggio in strada non troppo lontano.

VVSingWhen I booked two Deluxe Family Rooms at Furama Darling Harbour for a 6-day stay with family, I had high hopes for comfort, convenience, and a pleasant experience. Here’s how it went.
Location: Convenient, but Parking Woes
The location of Furama Darling Harbour is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Nestled within walking distance of numerous restaurants offering cuisines from all over the globe, it was a food lover's dream. Finding the hotel wasn’t a challenge either, thanks to clear signage and central placement.
However, the parking situation? That’s another story. The hotel doesn’t have an on-site parking lot. Instead, we had to park about a five-minute walk away, which isn’t ideal when lugging bags or dealing with Sydney’s occasional drizzle. Plus, the cost added up—$244 AUD for six days. If parking convenience matters to you, it’s worth factoring this in.
Cleanliness: Mixed Experiences
Cleanliness was... average, to say the least. While the first day seemed fine, housekeeping didn’t exactly shine as the stay went on. On Day 2, we were surprised (and not in a good way) to find dirty towels left after the room was cleaned. Fast forward to Day 5, and we found toilet paper and stray hairs under the blanket after housekeeping had supposedly “refreshed” the space. Not exactly the five-star housekeeping you’d hope for.
To be fair, we didn’t raise the issue with reception that evening—it was our last night, and we figured housekeeping staff would already be off-duty. But, as a guest, you shouldn’t have to weigh these options.
Service: Quick and Friendly, But a Breakfast Mishap
Service at Furama Darling Harbour was a bright spot overall. The staff were warm, responsive, and accommodating, whether it was resolving issues with the TV or bringing up extra towels.
That said, we hit a snag with the included breakfast. Our booking clearly stated breakfast for four people per room, which should have covered eight of us across two rooms. Yet, when we went down, they claimed the booking only covered four breakfasts total. After some back-and-forth with both hotel staff and Trip’s customer service, the issue was resolved. But it wasn’t exactly a stress-free start to the day.
Facilities: Functional, But Nothing Fancy
The gym was basic but functional—a single machine covering major muscle groups, though no free weights were in sight. It’s fine if you’re just looking to get in a quick workout. The laundry room was handy, though a bit pricey: $5 AUD each to wash and dry, plus $3 AUD for detergent.
Breakfast, while initially enjoyable, became repetitive after two days. A buffet should ideally offer more variety, but here the options changed only slightly. Updating the in-room TVs to include smart features wouldn’t hurt either; it felt like the tech was stuck in the past.
Rooms: Spacious and Comfortable
Now, for the standout feature—the rooms. They were impressively spacious, with plenty of room for our luggage and still enough space to move around comfortably. The beds? Absolute heaven. I slept like a rock every night, with no noise disturbances or distractions.
The bathroom mirrored this sense of space, steering clear of that cramped, claustrophobic feeling that some hotels suffer from. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere that values comfort this much.
Final Thoughts: Worth a Stay, Despite Flaws
Would I recommend Furama Darling Harbour? Absolutely, especially for families. The spacious rooms, friendly service, and fantastic location make it a strong contender. Yes, cleanliness and parking could use improvement, but the positives—comfortable beds, quiet nights, and accommodating staff—outweigh the negatives.
If you can overlook a few quirks and minor inconveniences, Furama offers a good home base for exploring Sydney. Just be ready for some parking acrobatics and keep an eye on those housekeeping details!

Le camere erano molto indossate e apparentemente necessarie una grande riparazione. Mio figlio ha una pelle sensibile e presto rifletteva la pulizia dei tappeti e le tende erano piuttosto cattive. Non mi aspettavo un problema del genere, dato che è un appartamento costoso.
Altrimenti la posizione è grande, facilmente accessibile alle attrazioni.

UUtente ospiteExcellent location right across QVB -- check-in was also smooth and the receptionist gave us an early check-in at 11am which was very much appreciated. Rooms seemed new possibly because they have been refurbished, very generous size and everything you need in a business hotel. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Sydney!

Quello che ho preso in considerazione di questo hotel è perché hanno la lavatrice e l'asciugatrice all'interno della camera da letto.
Gli aspetti negativi sono
- questo è un vecchio hotel e per quel prezzo credo che potrei ottenere più servizi di qui
- il letto è molto piccolo (più piccolo di un letto matrimoniale)
- anche la hall è molto piccola (ma puoi prendere un caffè gratis nella hall)
- puzzolente
Quando esci dall'ascensore, senti un odore che è come vecchio e cibo non so cosa sia ma è così puzzolente.
Per le pulizie cambiano sempre gli asciugamani e ci aiutano a buttare la spazzatura.

The staff at reception were lovely and very helpful. The location was fantastic—close to everything we needed!

UUtente ospiteUn'ottima esperienza di alloggio. La posizione è vicino a Chinatown, alla stazione, a supermercati, ristoranti e bar. È molto comodo. La stanza è ampia e attrezzata con piano cottura, tavolo da pranzo, macchina per il caffè, pentole, stoviglie, lavatrice e asciugatrice, è molto comoda e confortevole per il nostro soggiorno di 10 giorni. Nelle vicinanze sono presenti numerosi ristoranti, tra cui cinesi, tailandesi, giapponesi, vietnamiti e occidentali. È a pochi passi da grandi magazzini e centri commerciali.
