Very friendly staff excellent menu comfortable rooms and as a disabled person plenty of space for wheelchair and hoist. Good access to annex, the bar and restaurant. This is a good centre for touring and for motorcyclists with great roads. Just stay off the A1. Would definitely go back

We booked in for Sunday lunch at the Wheatsheaf. What a gem! The food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. We were presented with delicious freshly home baked rosemary bread as a complementary taster. The beef was cooked to perfection and the lamb was delicious. I went for the very tasty vegetarian pasta main course. We really didn't need desserts, but couldn't resist sharing a couple. Mention has to be made of the outstanding service as well as the warm welcome

I am disabled in a wheelchair so went with a friend and 2 care professionals. My room was in the annex and easy to access. Likewise the Bar and Restaurant were easy to manage. Not many places accommodate Disabled people so this was a real find. I would certainly go back there. The Menu was great and staff were brilliant. Compliments to the Chef. Would highly recommend it. Great roads around there for motorcyclists. Just stay away from the A1.

On a visit to the borders area we booked for 2 nights stay in the hotel. Michael and all his staff we fantastic and could not do enough for you. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed and spotlessly clean. We has only booked B&B to start with but decided to eat both nights in the hotel because the food was outstanding. The breakfasts were brilliant as well, we were so spoilt for choice. The chef deserves a special mention all his efforts. Will definitely be back for another visit. Thank you all for everything.

Visited as a family last weekend to celebrate my 70th birthday. The staff made the whole experience very enjoyable from start to finish. We received such a warm welcome and service from all the staff we met, especially the manager who was very accomodating. We ate in a side room which gave the ten of us room to relax, especially with two young children. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all. We would return.

Stayed in The Cottage. This was well equjpped with more gadgets than we needed. Plenty of space. Generous with TV's. Food and service in the hotel was friendly, helpful and available at all times. For visitors with an animal The Cottage is ideal. Very handy local footpaths for walking.

Myself and my mum went to The Wheatsheaf for the first time (though Border locals!) on Easter Sunday for a roast. It was such a lovely, cosy environment with an old-school feel and the food really was fantastic, can’t fault it. We each had a lovely, perfectly sized starter and the main meal was a really decent portion. We didn’t have a dessert but they looked lovely! I think the menu was an Easter special so I’m not sure what their usual roast choices are, but there were ample choices on the menu we had. Service was great, very smart, polite waiters. Highly recommend!
