Fairly new to the rental market, as we have all but finished - A pier is in the permitting process now, stay tuned!Come home to Halcyon! Halcyon means "idyllic and peaceful", and it is! One of the area's most unique homes on the Bay with views that are unrivaled. New to the rental market, this newly remodeled home has everything you need for a relaxing get away. Our three bedrooms, two and half bath home has plenty of space to spread out and relax!Upon entering the drive to our hidden getaway, you are greeted with a mid-century modern facade with lots of vegetation. Inside the home you'll be greeted with 20-foot-tall ceilings clad with Juniper wood. The wall of windows gives you a glorious view of the live oak trees, dolphins feeding in the Bay, and pelicans flying above. The house is decorated in a laid-back coastal feel that doesn't feel too stuffy, just right. Our open living area sits several comfortably with a view of the TV, fireplace and that Bay view! It also has a game table for late night gatherings, with supplied card and board games. We also have high speed cable internet as well. The kitchen has an eat at island and dining set for plenty of gatherings. Our cabinets are filled with everything you will need for cooking meals and entertaining. We have an induction cooktop, 42" refrigerator, dishwasher, double ovens, microwave and beverage fridge (see link below for detailed cabinet pictures). In the huge laundry room off of the living area, there is plenty of space to sort and fold clothes and an appliance pantry full of small appliances. This entire area is all open for cooking, eating, gaming, watching TV and the pelicans & bald eagles soaring in that beautiful view!The master bedroom evokes a calm retreat perfect for a good night's sleep with spectacular views of the Bay. There is a king size bed, armoire equipped with TV, dresser and a big walk-in closet with a sauna. The attached master bath has a curb less walk in 63" shower with dual shower heads, a soaking tub, separate toilet room and dual vanities. All have a view of the TV, electric fireplace and views of the bay. The master bathroom also has an exterior access to the pool and hot tub. The second master bedroom has a king-sized bed, TV, and shower/tub ensuite. A bunkroom is located off the kitchen with views of the Bay as well. It is equipped with a TV and dresser. The bunks include a queen bottom and twin top. This room, themed as a kid's room, has 2 gaming consoles with a drawer full of games.The entire back of the house has an over 2000 square foot wraparound Trex decking that connects the side porch to the hot tub/pool area. The side porch has a table and chairs for eating, a swing bed for sleeping and a sofa and chair for chatting. The porch also boasts a unique grill area with a connected 5 burner propane gas grill built in for any grilling enthusiast. There is also a Weber Original Kettle 22" Grill for the charcoal faithful.The hot tub has the best seats in the house! Sit and chill in the brand-new hot tub overlooking the pool and Bay, it doesn't get any better than that. There is also a porch swing under a beautiful arbor and seating for relaxing. From every place in the house and outside, you will witness the most breath-taking sunsets. You will appreciate the mature tree canopy from most of the outdoor living to keep you in the shade & cool during any time of the year. If the house doesn't have enough to keep you busy, we also have access to the Bay area with 3 fishing kayaks, and a tandem kayak for you to use (4 total). Two more will be available my mid-July. There is a kayak ramp next to the steps to make it easier to get the kayaks up and down from the sand beachy area, and a concrete walkway to make getting into the water more accessible and easier.The pool IS now climate controlled! It can be heated from March-November, and cooled off if necessary, during the summer. We do not charge extra for this amenity.Additionally, for anyone who does not know how hard the FL water is on your skin, and "tasty" to drink.., we have a new filtered, water softener that improves the taste & just feels amazing on sensitive skin. We offer a tankless hot water heater for continuous hot showers or a tub to soak in right away. We are a Saturday/Saturday rental for the summer. You're also welcome to fish from the new dock. However, for swimming, you can swim at your own risk in the Bay. But I'd still plan on using the pool or take a short drive to the white sand beach at St. George Island. The bridge to get to the island is just 5 minutes down the road.2. Are there dedicated fishing spots in the area?Absolutely! There is a very nice fishing pier on both sides of the St. George Island Bridge. Both of them also have a boat ramp if you have any kind of watercraft that you’d like to bring with you. There is also a little area off to the side of the bridge over to Apalachicola.3. We are a bay front home that is so near the water that it feels like you are on a cruise! Two screened porches, (one bay front and one on the entry side) a wonderful pier with kayak/paddle board launch pad and ladder. We are a private lot next door to an 8 acres of bay front land that we also own. We welcome your pets (no aggressive breeds). We do have a limit of two pets under 50 lbs.Enjoy our pool with sun shelf, bench (with a fountain) use the hot tub and when that feels hot, roll over into the adjacent pool. We have extensive travertine decking that flows into our “pool deck” with patio furniture, large out door pool TV walk through to our sugar white sand beach with benches, chairs and fire pit. Our two bedroom/two and a half bath townhouse is located at 300 Ocean Mile – a beach-side community located on the east end of the island, just adjacent to the St. George Island State Park. The home has a spacious split-level open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen that opens into the living and dining area. This 1400 sq. ft. town-home was recently updated with new kitchen, bathrooms, and lighting throughout. We have something for everyone. Get a great night's rest in the well-appointed main suite on the top level, which features a comfortable king size bed and private master bath with rainfall shower head. Enjoy views of the gulf from your private balcony. We have bunkbeds outside the master suite, so children (this is not an adult bed) can have their own retreat. Each bed has a light and USB port to power devices. Full sized washer and dryer are also on the top level. The middle level houses the guest bedroom and full bathroom. This room features a queen size bed. Enjoy ocean views from the main living area deck. Walk right off the back deck to get to the pool and grill area. The carport fits two cars and extra parking is allowed along the main road.Most people come to St. George because of the seclusion. The island has a much different feel than neighboring beaches communities. Retirees especially like the quiet feel and our island is good for families that want to avoid the crowds. Getting here is easy (approximately 2-hour drive from Tallahassee, 6 hours from Atlanta or Birmingham), but you'll feel worlds away. There are plenty of things to do on the island – biking trail and bike rentals, kayaking, fishing, boating and shopping. There are plenty of restaurants offering everything from pizza to fresh seafood. If you prefer cooking, the kitchen is spacious and fully equipped and vented. And there are a couple markets on the island with a good selection of meats and groceries. Or in just short trip, you can be in Apalachicola, known for their shopping, great dining and festivals. We have HD cable and flat screen TV’s in each living area.
