The Rookery

Immaculately clean and nicely decorated single room. Efficient shower and good quality bottles of shampoo, body lotion etc plus bottles of water and a kettle for drinks, plus biscuits. Bed was comfortable and bedlinen crisp and white. Alan was friendly, helpful, well organised and fun. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and a nice big pot of coffee. Parking outside was a bonus. The Rookery is perfectly situated a few minutes walk from the beach with its beach cafes, and about 10 mins gentle level walk to the town and pier. Thank you!

A friendly welcome at this traditional B&B only five minutes walk from the beach. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable with modern en-suites, and breakfast offered good choice and was freshly cooked. There’s room to park outside the property and Alan was really helpful in ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was a perfect choice for our stay in Swanage as a group of friends taking part in a charity walk in nearly Corfe Castle. If you decide to stay here we really recommend picking up fish and chips from The Fish Plaice in town!

Outstanding stay, nothing could be faulted. Alan is a fantastic front of house, funny, helpful and kind, we didn't see Charlene but she did such a wonderful breakfast so thanks to her too! They clearly both work very hard, despite 3 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats as the place is spotless and beautifully decorated, awash with their personality. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now! Breakfast was great with local quality produce.
