At the Sea Boutique Guesthouse

We spent a lovely three days at this modern, comfortable and delightful boutique guesthouse. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was centrally located and the breakfasts were really good. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in Swakopmund. The location is fantastic—just a stone’s throw from the beach, perfect for morning walks along the shore. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with only a few rooms, which makes for a peaceful and intimate atmosphere. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The staff was friendly and always willing to help with recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that breakfast could have had a bit more variety. However, overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would definitely return!

Had a very enjoyable 3 night stay here in light and airy surroundings. Service was great and enjoyed a lovely ocean view from our room balcony which faced south. Room was clean, spacious and well equipped including a fridge minibar and an honesty sheet. Very comfortable beds. The breakfasts were very good with eggs and omelettes cooked on request. Lots of very good restaurants nearby and a couple of food wagons acros the street for snacks and ice creams. Parking at front has a security person overseing things. Lovely to wake up to the sound and smelll of the ocean after several days in the desert. Beautifully clean pool at the front and small grassed area for sunbathing. Just be aware that there are several flights of stairs to carry your luggage up from the parking area.

Eventhough Johannes went out of his way to help us carry our bags we felt uncomfortable the first morning at breakfast. Nobody welcomed us or informed us how breakfast procedure works. Irene (manager) walked in after a while and we thought she was the owner because that was the impression she gave. I asked whether my son can please have another egg and from day one she made a huge issue about everything we requested at breakfast. We were watched and we could hear every remark she made everyday. After the 3rd day we only met Anke the owner and I discussed the issue with her manager making us feel unwelcome. She didn't want to listen to anything and remarked that she's never had any complaints about her manager. The last 2 days before we left our room was cleaned however my son's room was skipped We were treated extra friendly whilst making the final payment however for such a big amount one would expect better and professional treatment throughout your stay. We will definitely not visit At the Sea Boutique Guesthouse again and surely advise all our friends and family to look at more options in the Swakopmund area

cool, clean, fresh vibe going on here with wonderful large, light rooms and a view that is peachy. Anke was so friendly and helpful and it was safe to leave the car there too,
