The Scandic Vestfjord is conveniently located near the ferry from Bodø, the Hurtigruten terminal, and the center of Svolvær, offering a view of the Svolvær harbor. The hotel also provides free parking, which is a plus. However, the hotel itself looks quite run-down from the outside. The check-in process was fine, but the corridor leading to our room was poorly lit and missing ceiling tiles in some areas. Laundry bags were left in the corridor for the entire day and night, which gave a very unkempt impression. Our room was in need of some serious TLC, with a large hole in the wall and an unpleasant view directly overlooking a parking lot filled with tour buses. On top of that, the room was dirty, and on some days, it wasn't cleaned at all. The breakfast, on the other hand, was excellent in comparison to the room. There was a wide variety of options, and the service was good. Considering we paid almost EUR 250 per night for a family room, this hotel was terribly overpriced. Based on our experience, we would recommend staying elsewhere in Svolvær, as there are plenty of nicer hotels in the city center.

Very old and dated property. Very basic facilities. No elevator. Not even a kettle in the room. Very average breakfast. Only saving grace is the location. Staff is courteous but most of the time not available at the desk. Would not stay here again.

A truly enjoyable two night stay from start to finish. Brilliant harbour location, free parking outside the front door and a proper welcome with good service and extensive local information. The room on the top floor was superb and really comfortable with every amenity possible but note there is no elevator. The breakfast room and food choice was expansive both in size and choice (e.g. great waffles) and, all in all, we really felt at home. Would stay again tomorrow.

We came to Lofoten for a hiking trip and booked this hotel because of it’s good location and reasonable price level. Negative: Cleaning service. We basically had no cleaning service for two days until I made a complain about it but unfortunately even after the complain nothing happened. After the complain the cleaning service visited in our room but they did not change the bed sheets or clean the floor or bathroom. They only left toilet paper on the table (odd) and tried make bed look a bit ”nicer” (looked bad) we took photos and showed those to receptionist. Cold shower. At some point we started to have issues with the hot water. Bathroom has an odd smell. Might be plumbing issues? Positive: The staff in the reception is really nice and friendly. This is my second time in Lofoten and the next time I would probably not book room from this hotel for the reasons stated above. I still have one full day left before I leave. I wonder if they manage to clean this before we leave lol
