This guest house is at the center of our 30 acre Gentlemen's ranch, one mile south of Suttons Bay and 1/2 mile from the Bay. The address for our location is 1624 South West Bayshore Drive (which is M-22), Suttons Bay While there is not a water view unless you are on top one of our hills, the setting is an idyllic location with panoramic valley and hill views. This house has a warm natural all wood interior with beautiful artwork, yet all the modern amenities such as wifi and satellite TV with multiple movie channels. The grounds are professionally landscaped and maintained by the Landscape Architect owner. There is a large open area that includes a wrap-around leather couch and a loft with two beds along with a separate bedroom with a queen-size bed with an exceptional quality mattress. It is important to note that the only access to the loft is a straight up and down ladder. Because of this if you have kids younger than five or adults older than 40 or so (depending how spry you feel) the loft is probably not for you. There is plenty of room to park any toys (campers, boats, trailers) right on the property. The owners have a 26 foot motorboat and other water toys, so arrangements could be made for their use. If there is a need to stall your horses, or if you want to ride a horse or two, those arrangements can be made as well. On the property is a large barn, a small barn (both for horses) along with indoor and outdoor riding arenas. Attached to the indoor riding arena is a viewing area with a pool table, bathroom and laundry. At night, there is a firepit area to warm up on the cold Northern Michigan nights and we are far enough away from any city so that the panoramic star views are incredible. We are only 1/2 mile away from the Suttons Bay to Traverse City trail and you could ride bikes/horses snowshoe/hike/cross-country ski in any direction from here and see wonderful water vistas and orchard/hill/valley views. We are 30 minutes away from the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and the Homestead Resort that has skiing with hills that border on Lake Michigan. Very unique property with no neighbors on the bay for 1/2 mile to the south and 1/4 mile to the North. Simply stunning private views of Grand Traverse Bay with fire pit area. While it is walking distance to the Leelanau Sands Casino (across the street), you can have all the privacy you wish in a cottage with an unbelievable view of the bay. (Guests have remarked how amazing it is to wake up with floor to ceiling windows with a panoramic view of the bay and the sunrise) Please see the map in the pictures on getting to the home. Just doubled the living space with a brand new addition and have completely redone every aspect of the home from the kitchen, bathrooms to outside deck. Welcome to your new home! Located in the village and one block off of the beautiful waters of Suttons Bay, plan on a 5 minute walk to the sandy beach, shopping for gifts only the locals can offer, and being entertained by business owners, the sun, the moon and stars. We have a four bedroom home, which includes a basement, three bathrooms and a one car attached garage. The main floor will welcome you with an open kitchen, dining room, living room area, as well as two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs has two bedrooms, one bathroom and a hallway closet. The basement offers a large open space and a washer and dryer. There are TV's in every bedroom as well as the living room. We are located on the north end of the village, right next to one of the many TART Trail entrances. You can start your day on our deck, take the 5 minute walk to the beach, go for a bike ride, walk to the local bakery or enjoy one of restaurants/shops offering morning meals. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore. Suttons Bay is within a few miles of local wineries, a casino, and just 15 miles away from Traverse City. The village of Suttons Bay is full of cute shops including a distillery/coffee shop, a bike rental shop, a pharmacy, a movie theatre, and a variety of restaurants. Winding roads throughout Leelanau County will complete your adventure as you discover your new favorite roads, beaches, villages and friends. Our home's main floor has 1,100 square feet, the upstairs has almost 400 square feet, and the basement (which is where the washer/dryer is located) has almost 900 square feet. The kitchen counter is a one of a kind handmade cement countertop filled with local rocks and stones; an entertainment piece all by itself. The living room has a couch and two reclining rocking chairs, and the dining room table and three bar stools provide seating for all guests to enjoy meals and conversation.
