The Royal Arms Hotel

We used the Royal Arms for our wedding reception on 3rd August 2025. Whilst planning the reception everything went well and there was a lot of flexibility but the delivery was disappointing. We booked the drinks package and were promised that a choice of 8 wines would be served to guests from a 'wine cart'. On the day only 3 wines were offered and we were not informed of the change, we only found out during the wine service. We did not select the 3 wines offered and would not have chosen these ones from the original 8. We booked the delux buffet which was supposed to include a dressed scottish salmon as its centrepiece, Instead of this there was a small side of salmon (for 64 people) and there was no centrepiece. After the ceremonial 'cutting of the cake' the wedding cake went to the kitchen to be put on plates for all guests. It did not reappear until the end when slices were wrapped in napkins for guests to take away with them. The serving of our £350 cake simpleu did not happen. There were a number of other disappointments but I;m sure there's no need to list any more! We wrote to Anoop to outline where we had been let down but the only response we had from him was in relation to a question about the price of extra wine. We paid the additional amount and I reiterated my other points but received no reply. Simply unforgiveable rudeness.

Food was okay yet the experience was not, we sat down to eat at 19:10, our starters did not get there till 19:50 and our mains got to us at 20:50 baring in mind the restaurant had 11 other customers in whom were sat nearly 20-30 minutes after us and they had all eaten there deserts by the time we had finally got our mains, the server was polite and we understand that it is not her fault she was just the face of the restaurant at the time. Secondly if you want a shower you’d be better if using a watering can the pressure was that bad

It was close to Bosworth visiting center, it was a lovely big room, TV could be bigger screen and bed need sorting out otherwise had a wonderful time there, food excellent

Our stay was nice and peaceful with acceptable rooms apart from the shower which was not adequate..couldnt wash my hair as I would have been stood there 30 minutes trying to get enough water to remove the shampoo...water pressure needs attention and new shower heads etc.

Very cozy hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was top notch! The downside was the indoor temperature. It was very cold in the main building and the room. WiFi difficult to access

When we arrived we were told new menu so felt quite positive. Our party of 4 ordered 3 Chicken Supreme and 1 Rump Steak. Couldn't believe what was brought out..see picture..more like chicken leg and chips with gravy!..Definitely wouldn't have ordered this if we knew. Restaurant needs to change the name of this dish or many customers will be very disappointed. The rump steak was full of gristle hardly edible..the restaurant rightly deducted this from our bill. The coffees were all luke warm but by this time we'd decided we wouldn't be returning here again.
