Hotel con colazione inclusa a Surry Hills

On the ambience side, the decor and modern-ish art was uplifting and fun. The room was very clean. But, we were surprised to find the room so small. In order for 2 people to get into the bed, one had to crawl over the other. The very small window sill became the nightstand. There was no room for luggage, and no luggage racks - we were told they didn’t have enough. That meant one suitcase on the floor and one on the very small plastic table. The retro-refrigerator was cool, but my traveling companion kept threatening to move it out into the hall to create some space in the room the whole time we were there. And then, the very small bathroom, the shower door doubled as the door to the bathroom. Have you ever looked into a microwave? The shower and the bathroom walls had the same dot matrix pattern as a microwave door. My companion was surprised to see while showering she could see me relaxing on the bed, and when she screamed “can you see me?” I replied “yes”. My companion now has bathroom-PTSD. Not only was the shower see through, there was a full-room-view sitting on the throne, trying to do your business. Then the realization somebody may be watching. PTSD! Our solution was to use the downstairs public bathroom for major activities. Did I mention IBS???

Siamo rimasti qui per 4 notti nel maggio 2022 e che catastrofe di un'esperienza. È iniziato anche prima di arrivare a Sydney con loro cancellando la nostra prenotazione a causa di un vuoto d'acqua nella stanza che ci hanno assegnato. Dopo aver cercato di trovare un'alloggio alternativo all'ultimo minuto, ci è stato consigliato tutto. A quanto pare, ogni mattina hanno fornito un colazione continentale con prodotti di panna, cereali, succo d'arancia, caffè, ma non lo sapresti perché solo una mattina delle quattro ci siamo visti, ci siamo salutati con croissants restanti o un solo croissant. Una mattina non c'era nemmeno latte, caffè o succo d'arancia. Questo posto non ha una ricezione personale che non ho alcun problema con, ma ogni volta che andiamo al bar per chiedere una domanda, ci siamo trattati lontanamente dalle ragazze che lavorano lì. La stanza era spaziosa ma solo una bassa igiene e basilare ....molto basilare.Poi, per toccarla nella nostra notte finale, la vanità nel bagno cadde fuori dal muro e mi gettò fuori tutte le nostre toilette e mi lasciando con un pesante battito sulla testa. Non potevano risolvere il problema, ma hanno organizzato un'alloggio alternativo in un altro hotel, quindi abbiamo dovuto imballare i bagagli e trasferirci inaspettatamente. Non ci hanno nemmeno offerto alcuna compensazione o almeno un buono per colazione, considerando che abbiamo potuto ottenere qualcosa da mangiare solo a una delle quattro mattine che eravamo li'. Solo un servizio davvero scarso con poco riguardo a come ci ha colpito. Non di nuovo.

Al nostro arrivo abbiamo dovuto aspettare per lungo tempo la consegna delle chiavi per adempimenti vari anche se il referente locale aveva avvisato e noi eravamo un gruppo. Le camera buia, vista stradina secondaria molto rumorosa perché vicina agli ascensori e scarsamente isolata da quella vicino ( camere comunicanti ). Inoltre la mattina alle sei o si effettua la raccolta dei rifiuti o c'era il carico scarico di materiale vario quindi altro rumore. La camera l' abbiamo trovata sporca, mancante dell' attrezzatura completa per il bagno ( asciugamani, sapone etc.) che richiesta ci è stata fatta trovare fuori la camera sul pavimento!. La mattina mettevamo il pigiama in valigia se no lo trovavo sparso o sul letto o sulle poltrone. In 4 giorni la chiave si è smagnetizzata ben 3 volte! Quello che salvo è la colazione anche se al pavimento del ristorante potevano rimanerti attaccate le scarpe per terra per residui liquidi non ben puliti!

We just finished an absolutely fantastic week-long stay here for the Women's World Cup. The staff is absolutely lovely and they went out of their way to help me out as I was on a scooter/crutches from an injury back home. We especially loved our chats with H who works overnight. The room was perfectly sized for my best friend and I and the bathroom had enough space for the two of us to use the mirrors in the morning as well. They even provided a little chair I could use in the shower as well. The hotel is located in a lovely brick building that used to be a convent and there are little portraits going up the stairs with historic information about the location. The rooftop terrace is a fantastic place to relax with a drink in the afternoon or evening and they have an evening Gin & Tonic cart where you can have a personalized cocktail for $10AUD. There's also a reasonably priced Honour Bar where you don't have to worry about being overcharged just because you're in a hotel. There's also a liquor store about 7 minutes away by walking if you want to bring in your own ingredients. The pastries available in the morning were delicious, though we did opt for local cafes generally after our morning coffee and tea. Really enjoyed Al Taglio and Shaffa for our local meals (pizza and Mediterranean) which are to your left and right as you exit through the Albion exit. The Surry Hills neighborhood is super charming and lovely. It's only about 5-7 minutes from Central Station and multiple other bus lines, so it's easily navigable from the airport and around Sydney in general. Absolutely loved our visit and we will 100% be back.

Ho il patrimonio, le vibrazioni retro, ho la decorazione hipster sbaby, ma una cosa che non avrò mai è quella di scent di deodorizzante in camera, che si stava incredibilemente alzando le scale di tappeto indossate nella mia stanza, e all’interno della stanza era leggermente meglio. Mentre le foglie e il letto erano pulite (le mutande erano vecchie e indossate), la stanza aveva bisogno di una pulizia profonda, soprattutto nel bagno. Certo, il bagno era pulito, ma anni di giù e polvere intorno alla base del doccia, pavimento di immersione e piastrelle erano cattive. Ho aperto la finestra per ottenere aria fresca (anche per aiutare a gestire il mento) e ho scoperto che non chiude ma si apre in un lock air, dove potevo guardare in una porta di backgammon. Non è buono per la sicurezza. Fortunatamente, sono rimasto a metà settimana che non includeva le questioni di rumore di cui hanno parlato altri. Vergogna, perché non si sente come con troppo lavoro, potrebbe essere utile per 3 stelle ... al momento, più come 2. :(

We highly rated our stay: Really comfy bed Spacious rooms Clean, spotlessly clean No noise. We have stated in some really fancy hotels and they were horribly noisy but our room was so quiet. There was no street noise, no elevator noise, no noise from above/below/beside our room. Affordable. The staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. Parking is available but minimal. The parking is tight but the staff are extremely skilled at assisting guests to park with ease.

I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. It’s not a stellar street, directly opposite the train tracks but once you’re inside, it’s lovely. My room was quiet and away from the noisy street with its own terrace. It felt spacious, light and modern. The reception staff were absolutely amazing. There were about 4 of them interchangeably when I was there and they all showed the highest standards of service which I would more commonly associate with a luxurious 5 star hotel. The breakfast was a lovely touch. I would definitely stay again - it’s a good location for central Sydney and very peaceful.

I've stay there quite a long time during the 2021 year and I was feeling like I was at home. The number of guest was very low because of the Covid. The staff is nice and the small size of the hotel makes it feels as a second home. I've got good memories from this place

So far one of the best price/value/ central location/high standard option I’ve ever had in sydney. A lovely place to stay , quiet area, close by the best bars and restaurants of the city. Oh and I was about to forget to mention… the pool is just the cherry on the cake ❤️

57hotel is really beyond my expectation. I'm a solo traveller, the single room is just enough size and space for me! Clean, simple, no frills, and yet functional! Location is great, just a 5mins walk from central station, has loads of cafes around, great for coffee lover like me. Coffee machine is available 24/7. Complimentary pastries and cookies available every morning. I will book again for my nx trip!
