Waterman Beach Village

We stayed in a bungalow that was clean and just the right size. It was beautifully situated among blooming trees, and the shaded patio was perfect for relaxing. I can highly recommend this place! It’s not overly touristy, just a great spot to unwind. You can use the mini-golf course, pool, and games for free. Lidl and other bigger supermarkets just up the road. The beach is just below, by the promenade, and if you follow it, you’ll reach the town in about 10 minutes. Plus, staying here gives you access to Waterman Resort, a larger hotel complex with multiple pools, beach activities, restaurants and more. We also booked a nice boat trip to see good snoreling spots.

This is a really nice looking place in a wonderful little resort. It was spotlessly clean and staff and guests were all really nice. We stayed in a brand new glamping pod and loved sitting on the deck and looking out to sea. The little pool that you share with 4 other huts is beautiful and we loved having that area available to us. The air con /heaters in the pods are good, as is the shower. Lidl is really conveniently situated 5 minutes away. Unfortunately, the weather (late May) was terrible. It was too cold to sunbathe 5 out of 7 days, poured with rain and the wind howled all night on several nights. We have come home exhausted because 1) The mattresses, particularly the one upstairs, are rock hard. My back was very painful by night 3. I had to cover the bed in pillows and sleep on those. 2) There is a very bright light outside the pod so there is no darkness. 3) Traffic noise starts at about 4.45am as cars and trucks use the main road (20ft away) to get to the ferry. 4) If it’s windy the noise from that also keeps you awake but we were just unlucky with this. 5) Grounds staff start watering the plants before 7am and completely forget that the accommodation is made of canvas as they talk loudly 3ft from your head. I can’t tell you how desperate we were for sleep. Supetar is a gorgeous little town and the 15 min walk in to town along the promenade is beautiful. Why have I given the 4 stars despite coming home so exhausted? I think if they change the mattresses (PLEASE DO THIS) and if you get good weather, then the only major problem is the traffic noise. They can’t do much about this and I did feel that the owners /managers have really tried to make things nice. (As we suggested on departure, the kettles need longer cords -see photo).

Lovely location - stunning beach a few minutes walk (children spent hours in the clear water snorkeling, but water shoes are a must with the sea urchins! ). Easy walk along the water into the town. Great restaurant / bar along the way - Bistro Pizzeria Vrilo, which was reasonably priced and had great views over to the mainland. Also Lidl and another supermarket very nearby. However the resort facilities were tired - ie table tennis table needed a new surface. The restaurant had wonderful views but the food wasn't that good (shown I thinkby the fact we were the only people in it the evening we went). The main disappointment however was the accommodation - we had the lodge by the road (very noisy / vibrations from trucks). The master bedroom was OK and comfy bed but the bunk room was terrible - the ladder to the top bunk was broken so my son spent the first night on the PVC sofa as he couldn't climb up. We asked to move but were told we couldn't as they were full. The ladder was patch repaired the next day but was far from ideal and were constantly concerned it would break.

Upon arrival we were given a bungalow that was totally inadequate which wasn’t a good start. However it was very quickly & happily resolved and from that moment we have had the best holiday. Our second bungalow was a brilliant location tucked away and by the beach which was perfect for our 4 & 3 year old. The pools are small but for the age of our children it was great & their confidence in the water improved greatly over the week. The sunset bar was a little disappointing especially when I was served a fake Aperol Spritz but we watched England play in the Euros here one night and we were very happy (the result probably helped too :) The location is fantastic and we loved visiting both the beach & port which are beautiful. We’ve had a very happy time here, thank you so much!

We returned a few days ago from a fabulous 10 night stay at Waterman Beach Village. We had a lovely time. The surroundings are so peaceful and calming, it was so tranquil being amongst the trees and being so close to the beach. The resort is well equipped with a laundry, beach bar/restaurant, pool, table tennis table, giant chess and mini golf. There are also barbecues to use. The bungalow we stayed in was fine for us 3 adults. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. Lovely to have a patio area to sit and enjoy the scenery. The staff are a true credit to the resort especially the reception staff. All of the ladies we spoke with were very friendly and helpful. We got lots of great ideas about which villages/towns to visit on the local bus. They also let us know which Supermarket was open on the 2 Sundays we were there. The resort is really well situated. You can walk along the beach path into Supetar which only took us about 20 mins. The beach was only about 5 mins walk. From the entrance to the resort you can walk along the road for about 10 mins to get to the supermarkets. All in all we had a great time and loved the calm of the resort. We went over to Split on the ferry a couple of times and it was so busy there, was nice to return to the relaxing environment of Waterman Beach.

Spent 10 days here as a family of five with three children under 10. Weather was glorious (36 degrees and sunny apart from one night of dramatic thunderstorms). Location is stunning, beaches and sea are gorgeous and the swimming in the sea is lovely. We really enjoyed Supetar as a town with its restaurants and sea swim spots. The beach village was smaller than we had thought it would be which meant not much for the children to keep them entertained, the pools were small and the park was limited as well. We had seen online that there was a kids animation programme but this wasn't on at all while we were there which was a shame. We did enjoy a few days at the sister hotel on the other side of Supetar harbour though which was a hot 30min walk away but had 5 swimming pools we could use for free and another lovely beach. Accommodation at the beach village was clean and modern, a bit tight with 5 of us but a family of 4 would be fine (sofa bed as 5th bed wasn't very comfortable but the double and bunk beds were all comfortable). Lidl and two other big supermarkets are very close which was handy and big thanks to the lovely waitresses who served us breakfast every morning (this was included in our easyJet package and was made to order and very nice). Would recommend this for a peaceful holiday in a beautiful location but if you have young children consider bringing a beach cart or similar to pull them along the seafront into town as it was a hard walk for our little ones in the heat and they are (just) too old for a buggy.
