Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort

Fantastic stay and real island getaway!  View and waters are amazing, food was included in our stay (breakfast and dinner) and there are many free activities to take part. The view are spectacular! The rooms were clean and spacious for 2 pax- can fit up to 4 pax.  Favorite activity was to fish from the lagoon and watch the baby shark (white shark) feeding at 1130am and chilling at the hammock infront of the rooms.  Massages are quality if you want some wave asmr as they are done in the outdoor huts but only can do 1 hour blocks and require quick booking/advance booking as the masseuses are limited.  wifi connections are good islandwise but it’s more of chillax resort. The rooms have netflix and youtube.  do bring some night snacks or simple lunch as their restaurants close early at 9pm and ferry out are only during the lunch time

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort, and overall, it was a beautiful experience. The resort is nestled in a stunning location, surrounded by clear blue waters that create a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The tranquil environment made it an ideal choice for a quick getaway. The resort itself is well-maintained, with lovely landscaping and comfortable amenities. The serene setting really enhances the overall experience, making it a great place to unwind for a two-night stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the friendly staff. From the reception to the poolside attendants, everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool guys were particularly nice, adding to the relaxed vibe of the resort. However, I did find that the food needs significant improvement. While the dining options were ample, the quality and variety fell short of expectations. To truly enhance the guest experience, I believe that more attention to the menu and food preparation is necessary. This aspect would play a crucial role in my decision to return. Another area that requires attention is the communication regarding trips and activities. Unfortunately, we often found ourselves headed to the wrong locations, only to be redirected to another part of the island. Clearer information about where to go for excursions would be greatly beneficial for guests. In summary, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a beautiful destination with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. However, improvements in food quality and clearer communication regarding activities are essential for a more satisfying experience. With these adjustments, I could see myself returning, as the stunning views and peaceful environment are truly commendable.

FRAUD ALERT: I am usually not a person who gives bad reviews. My first tym ever writing a bad review.Sad to end the year with a bad note. But this incident left me with no choice. If you wish to ruin your family vacation. This is the place. Ohh.. What a terrible experience with the hotel management. I have booked via Trip.com because there was option of free cancellation since i was travelling with my kid and i like being flexible on the schedule. I booked my stay from 22 to 25th December.However our plans changed and i requested cancellation and simultaneously booked from 22nd to 24th December because i was quite confident that the first booking will be cancelled and refunded, because usually good agencies like makemytrip and others have done it in the past for us. After we checked in on 22nd i have requested the person in front desk (sumilon resort) to confirm my cancellation as well. I couldnot recall his name. But he assured that it will be done. In the meantime i was communicating multiple times with Trip.com while i was on holiday. My mind was more focussed on the cancellation than enjoying with family because it was about cancellation of 1220 sgd which is someones monthly salary in Singapore(I would love to donate this amount to charity then giving this to Frauds). I was also communicating with the front desk person again and again and until day of check out. They nodded their heads with so much confidence. Now the hotel people and Trip.com said that they cannot refund it because it was last minute cancellation. ******** excuse. My question is if its last minute for you then why you put free cancellation option in the website. Now Trip.com is trying to negotiate with me by giving 122 sgd trip coins. Hahha.. Are you kidding me? I am gonna make sure to put this review on Insta, twitter, linkedin and where ever possible. Dont come to Sumilon island resort. Its not worth your money and mental sanity.
