There are some great local delights for the foodie enthusiast found there & you can walk there along the canal.Wonderful walks on the beautiful NT common in AONB where cows and horses free roam from May to November , excellent eating out, auctions as on TV, Berkeley castle, Wildfowl Park at Slimbridge, Westonbirt Arboretum, Woodchester mansion, Stroud brewery, picnics at Beaufort or Cirencester polo in the summer, vintage shopping, plenty of golf courses and well situated for visiting many picturesque Cotswolds villages too...Painswick & the Rococo gardens 15minutes awayTetbury is 20 minutes away, full of antique shops, & Highgrove nearby ( Tetbury woolsack races in May)Westonbirt Arboretum is 20 minutes away Badminton eventing is only 8 miles away too-The world famous cheese roll at Brock is 20minutes away in May.
