Buvik Sea Lodge Apartments

It is a decent apartment with everything you need travelling as a group of four with a well equipped kitchen. The icing on the cake was seeing the northern lights from the balcony. It is quite cosy, and good views of the fjords from the balcony.

Rate experience 1. Building in shambles. Looks nothing like pictures in advertisements, or previous reviews. Exterior, decking, kitchen all have extensive water damage. Equipment on patio a pile of trash. We share this to save you time, money, and frustration.

Stayed here for three nights while on our Norway tour. Absolutely stunning place and beautiful location. Wake up to the fjord view in the morning and watch the northern lights at night, all from the balcony. The host Espen was amazing, he decorated the room ready for my arrival, (suprise 40th) which was a lovely touch and was very helpful in accommodating our needs, and pointed out things that were happening, (like reindeer outside the lodge) One of the most beautiful places we have stayed and we cannot recommend it enough! Important thoughts to consider, is 50 minute drive away from Tromsø, with no shops locally, so you need to take any provisions with you. Its a beautiful little gem....... Unfortunately we have heard that the owners are planning to flatten the lodge and build a hotel in it's place. I personally think this is real shame, as the lodge is a beautiful quirky stop, and a hotel would not have the same intimacy. (I hope this doesn't happen).

Wonderful place, sauna with absolutely stunning view right on the fjord. Nice, comfortable and cosy apartment. Thank you for the warm welcome and seeing to our needs. Very considerate and kind host!!!

My wife and I stayed at Buvik Sea Lodge for one night as part of our elopement trip to Northern Norway. The lodge is situated in a beautiful remote location about an hour's drive from Tromsø and Espen, the host, was extremely helpful and accommodating. The apartment was well designed, extremely cozy and it was great falling asleep to the sound of the waves. There's a jacuzzi and a sauna in a small building right next to the lodge with a beautiful view over the water that can be booked for your group. You also have the chance of seeing some wildlife - just the day before we arrived, a few reindeer had been taking refuge in the open area under the lodge to escape the heat! We wish we could have stayed longer, and would love to visit again. Can't recommend enough!

Great view, great spot, charming host, top accomodation. We got this all after an 1 hour drive from Tromsø. The accomodation is well equipped, good beds and bathroom. Our visit was in early July so we enjoyed late midnight summer evenings. On the day of departure we experienced Buvik Sea Lodge is ideally located close to the ferry towards Lofoten. Highly recommended.
