Greenwoods Hotel & Spa

I took my mum for the Mother’s Day afternoon tea today and the food, service and entertainment (Rosie Holman) were all outstanding! The staff were charming and we were offered both plenty of room and plenty of time. The tea itself was lovely and we were provided boxes to take home the cakes we couldn’t finish during our sitting. The singer was stupendous and I sincerely hope she is invited back again as we attend Greenwoods Mother’s Day event annually.

The entire experience from start to finish was excellent. The facilities were great and easy to use and the treatment was top class. From the warm and friendly welcome at the desk through to the staff in the restaurant (shout out to Lauren), the bar staff and the cleaning team…all were smiling, polite and ready to serve and it showed that they wanted you to have the best experience…which really highlights the quality in the team you have. The food for dinner and breakfast was absolutely superb and full complements to the chef and team as there was more than enough and cooked to perfection. Note - Please try the ‘Deconstructed Black Forest…It’s to die for!!’ There are actually so many moments over the last 24 hours being there that I could write about that showed the quality of the staff and the experience… As always, there are little things that could be improved but these are perfunctory things and don’t detract from what I said at the beginning was the entire experience was excellent. Well done and thank you one and all,as credit where credit is due…and you do deserve the credit…as we leave as very happy customers and highly recommend it to anyone else considering treating themselves to a pamper and relax experience filled with great people and gorgeous food. Last weekend my wife and I stayed at this wonderful hotel, we enjoyed our experience so much from the start to the end. The scenery and grounds were magnificent and we loved our walk around the gardens. The bar area was very relaxing and we had a lovely evening followed by an amazing breakfast. We’d specifically like to highlight three staff members. A slightly older lady I believe called Lauren, who was very attentive and welcomed us to our table. Followed by two staff members I met by the bar who made a lovely coffee for me a lady called Olivia and a younger boy called Jude who engaged in a lovely conversation about his future plans at university. Our highlight of our stay was the staff. The spa facilities are small but enjoyable, another relaxation room would be perfect and possibly a few more sun loungers outside would improve the outside area. The rooms were spacious and clean and will be returning! Overall we very much enjoyed our stay!
