Ark Beach Apartments

We vacationed with our family in this magnificent hotel. We were very warmly received by the hotel owners. This is a great family and you just feel at home. We recommend this lovely hotel to everyone with a great pool and beach. Odmorili smo s obitelji u ovom veličanstvenom hotelu. Vrlo smo toplo primljeni od strane vlasnika hotela. Ovo je sjajna obitelj i jednostavno se osjećate kao kod kuće. Preporučujemo ovaj lijepi hotel svima s izvrsnim bazenom i plažom.

This was a family operation run by Mladen, his wife, Milena, and 2 daughters Marija and Magdalena (sorry if I’ve got the spelling wrong!). He clearly and rightly enjoys what he has built here and it shows. He is kind, helpful, full of good advice, and funny. He lent us hats when we needed them, and even drove me to the car rental place and did most of the talking - above and beyond what one would expect. The place itself is beautiful. Our room overlooked the sea, with a balcony - the view was stunning. The rooftop terrace for breakfast and drinks had a view of the sea and surrounding area, which was beautiful. The pool and pool area were perfect - large but quiet so it felt very private. The beach was directly accessible by a stone staircase. The sea was clear, warm and gloriously refreshing. (Remember to bring water shoes because most of the beaches in Croatia are pebbly.) Ark is in a quiet spot away from the throngs but that was a good thing. The nearby village of Strobec is walkable in a few minutes - and central split is only a 10-15 minute cab ride away. Ark is a great place from which to explore Split and the surrounding areas. As well as the historic centre, we visited the beautiful Krka waterfalls, Trogir, Šibenik and Primošten but there was lots we couldn’t do in our 5-day stay. However, as Mladen himself said, the most important thing is to relax! Overall, we loved the property and Split - and the hosts made our stay truly memorable.

This was our best holidayservice ever 👆🏾☺️ To behind with, this family, our hosts was amazing and superfriendly. The boss invited us to his table with our giret breakfast. So Cool and interesting speak about the country and this place. His younger daughter had a big smile and fuel control at the kitchen and serving every morning. Clean, stylish and alles in ordnung 🎵☺️ The eler daughter and his wife served our rooms and everything perfect. We never seen something like this 👆🏾 Thank you to the best hostes ever. A Croatian gem, what good fortune to have discovered Ark Apartments in Strobec for a visit in August 2023! The Palinic family, who own and thoughtfully run Ark, are fantastic hosts who elevated our stay in beautiful Croatia to an unimagined level. We had a terrific, well-equipped self-catering apartment with a lovely sea-view. It was well-maintained, very clean, comfortable and spacious and had plenty of storage space. We were very pleasantly surprised to discover that soap, washing liquid, kitchen paper, bottled water etc. were already there for us and we didn’t even need to do our usual hasty trip to the supermarket for essentials! The grounds and pool area are lovely for relaxing in the sunshine and we never had any difficulty obtaining a comfortable sun lounger. The beach is also very close by and accessible by steps adjacent to the property. The surrounding region boasts a wide range of beautiful places to visit and explore, by car or public transport, and there are numerous restaurants in close proximity. To add to the already excellent value, breakfast was available at no extra charge, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food, the company and the beautiful sea-view from the terrace every morning of our immensely enjoyable stay. Mladen, our knowledgeable host, is quite simply the King of Kindness! He was immensely generous with his time, greeting us warmly each morning at breakfast and offering advice and help at every turn. We thoroughly enjoyed his relaxed, infectiously good-humoured manner whenever we conversed. We were equally delighted to have the company of Milena, Marija and Lena, Mladen’s wonderful wife and daughters, and their dog Janko! The only problem was how hard it was to leave! It’s not possible to only give a 5 star review for this property – that’s nowhere near enough! It’s more like 10 stars as far as I’m concerned!

The ark apartments are a great place to stay. The family are very warm and friendly and immediately make you feel at home. Our apartment was well equipped with great kitchen facilities, a lovely view of the sea and comfortable bedding. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. It's in a good location, close to attractive beaches and a regular bus into Split. There is a clean pool with lots of seating and sun loungers. When we went the pool was quiet, we enjoyed looking out to sea from the terrace/ garden. We had been given this accommodation following a cancelled flight. The family were kind and looked after us very well, making sure we felt relaxed and reassured. There is a fabulous breakfast room at the top of the building with amazing views. There was a variety of good foods. We are vegan and there was lots for us to enjoy. We hope to be able to visit again, we had a happy time.
