Dopo aver soggiornato a Franschhoek in poche occasioni prima abbiamo finalmente fatto il nostro modo di soggiornare in Protea. Grande posizione, a pochi passi da tutto a Franschhoek. Parcheggio molto sicuro. Ci siamo rallegrati del nostro soggiorno e saremo felici di restare di nuovo. Bella stanza sul pavimento vicino alla piscina con tutto quello che ci serviva. Il cibo era molto buono. Abbiamo avuto colazione ogni mattina del nostro quattro soggiorni notturni e abbiamo un pasto serale in due occasioni. Un bar molto bello dove abbiamo avuto una cappella ogni sera. Due uomini eccellenti del bar che erano molto amichevoli e piacevoli e sapevano davvero cosa stavano facendo. Abbiamo prenotato e pagato per la nostra unità per 10 notti. La vista dall'appartamento non ha nulla a che fare con quello che vedi sul sito web. Il problema delle fogne era continuato fino alla nostra partenza precoce. Ci hanno fornito due piccole lampade portatili elettriche e abbiamo dovuto farlo con questi e i flash sui nostri iPhone. Infine, gli ingegneri apparsi il giorno 7, hanno fatto qualche lavoro in garage e poi c'era la luce. Giorni 5 e 6 videro la fine dell'acqua. C'era solo un'aspirazione, abbastanza da cucinare, ma non c'era alcuna doccia, lavatrice o lavatrice di bagno. A questo punto abbiamo chiesto ai nostri secondo ospiti di abbandonare il viaggio per rimanere con noi, perché l'odore delle fogne era ancora inaccettabile. Il wifi non funzionava ancora bene in alto (12.6 Mbps in alto) ma l'acqua lo faceva. Al giorno 9 il puzzo era così cattivo che abbiamo buttato in asciugamani e lasciato un giorno presto. Bastava e non ci sentivamo bene. Abbiamo condiviso questa informazione e una richiesta di rimborso parziale con l’Ermitage che ha risposto dicendo “scusate” e faremo meglio quando ci siamo fermati con loro. Che vergogna.
