This unit is the first floor/ground level of the house. It has it's own entrance with a screened in lanai and open covered patio facing the beach. Large comfortable space has breathtaking ocean views, with access to the beach and a community pool. This 2 bedroom casita sleeps 6 and has everything to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. This property has easy access to transportation, and it is close to the airport, West End, West Bay Beach and grocery stores.The property is unique to Roatan. Just off the main road to a private beach area that is part of the Roatan Marine Park preserve. The reef system parallels the white sand beach of Sandy Bay. A safe and calm area to swim and explore the waters abundant with tropical fish and corals. This is a quiet tranquil area without high end hotels and condos but close to the tourist meccas.The quiet sandy beach includes a private 300 ft. long pier accessible only by the small Sundancer community. The pier has an upper deck for sunning, and a shaded palapa over the water.Just off Sundancer's Pier to the right is a natural deep water channel that allows larger sea life to come and go on the reef. Often seen are large squads of squid, eagle rays, turtles, huge grouper and large parrot fish. This natural opening in the reef also makes it easy for boats to pick you up for fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling and touring. Property is conveniently located in upper Sandy Bay, with grocery stores just 5 minutes away. West End is about a 6 minute taxi ride headed West. The airport is a 10 – 15 minute ride away. The long Sandy Bay Beach stretch offers a variety of Roatan Island activities. The Salty Mango restaurant is right next door, to the east, and Lawson’s Rock is next door to the west, with a morning café, and restaurant. Anthony’s Key Resort is 1 mile to the west, with dolphin encounters, restaurant, plus a medical facility, offering COVID testing. You can rent a car or scooter to explore the island as well. Bedroom 1 holds a full size bed and bedroom 2 has a set of bunk beds, twin top and full on bottom. This unit faces the back of the property, nestled in banana trees, vines & palms with the ocean being right around the corner, literally steps away. You have full use of the property which includes a private dock, a beach with lounge chairs & hammocks, complimentary use of kayaks when available and a common area with games at the dive shop. A divers paradise, you are steps to the dive shop and dive boat and if you have non divers in the group they can relax on the beach in lounge chairs, hammocks or enjoy snorkeling from our pier. Do you have a larger party party? We also have 3 other units available on property.Check In begins at 3pm and Check Out is by 11 am. Early check in may be available. We are steps from the principal road which traverses the entire island. You can walk the beach for approximately a 1/2 mile in each direction and enjoy the tranquil breeze and beautiful mangroves or sand beach.We have ample parking available if you rent a car and if not you're steps from being able to grab a taxi cab at the main road. We have specific taxi drivers available for tours when their schedule allows. This inexpensive but still a beautiful unit, Casa Cowee’s Casita created for the budget travellers or as an addition to the larger houses. No AC but not needed as fans and not exposed to the sun just the breeze off the water. We have decided to create a great escape on the water for those looking for a laid back real Caribbean Island experience. We are located in a shoreline neighbourhood of real Islanders and expats from around the world. It is one of the few left in the Caribbean. Hopefully it never changes. This Island is wonderful oasis and there is no need to live in a gated community. The Islanders are wonderful and helpful.The pool has a large deck and beautiful jungle setting. Go snorkelling off our dock with the snorkelling equipment that comes with the rental, to one of the most stunning reef formations in the Caribbean. (second largest reef in the world). You can sit on the dock and enjoy the dolphins and their shows every day. We suggest snorkelling with the dolphins!New pool! The use of two single kayaks and one double along with a paddle board come with the property for our guests to use. Also we have a good selection of snorkelling gear for all ages.There is a great spa a minute down the beach. This a one acre private property with Casa Cowee VRBO 126086 as the main house and Temple Tree House VRBO 503528 high off the beach which is used for local access to the properties on it. The houses are designed to catch the breezes off the water and the casita never heats up. Sunsets are absolutely the most stunning from our home. This is a one acre estate which is lush with many fruit trees including lemons, limes, mangos, bananas, avocados, guanaba, jack fruit, nuts etc.The property is gated with a private circular drive around a massive Mango Tree and in the back there is a towering Rain Forest LeCeiba Tree that takes your breath away. Just one to two minutes walk to 3 great restaurants and two fun bars. 10 Min. drive to West End which is filled with restaurants and bars. Or you can have our staff bring you local food which is delicious. There is a produce truck that comes by if you wish. We have someone you can hire to pick you up at the airport, stop for groceries and can arrange a boat for fishing and snorkelling tours and do all island tours. A nice point also is the proximity of a very good clinic at Anthony's Key about a 3 min walk away and they also have a recompression chamber there.
