Residence Inn Stamford Downtown

This was one of my most pleasurable hotel stays via the thousands of places I've been. When I was there at the hotel was spotless. When I arrive to my sweet there was a bottle of wine and treats waiting for me. That was totally unexpected. The service was top notch from the front desk, to the cleaning service. Nice modern hotel. I think the Marriott overall for stepping up their game and improving their hotel greatly.

The first thing is there was no place to park in order to register, I had to park illegally and take a chance on getting a ticket. The check in was great the staff at the front desk, were 2 of the best staff members I’ve ever met at any Bon Voy property. The nightmare began when I was told T it cost $16 to park, that part I didn’t mind it was where I had to park that was the problem. Parking was valet (only), and was around the corner ( on a 1 way street) at the Courtyard by Marriott. This was not mentioned in the reservations. Once you parked you had to walk they an open area in order to get to the Residence Inn that was only the beginning. The reservations advertised a swimming pool and hot tub, what it didn’t mention was there was no hot tub or pool in the residence inn, if you wanted to swim or use the hot tub you had to walk they an open air space to get to the Courtyard. So after swimming one would have to brave the elements wrapped in a towel in order to get back to their room at the residence inn. I have to say that as a Titanium Memeber I will NEVER STAY AT THIS property again. This property sits in beautiful downtown Stamford yet parking is hazardous to me the Residence inn is falsely advertising the pool and hot tub location. One last thing else and I understand this, I asked if I could get a shot glass from the bar, I was told no, but I could buy a shot at the bar (Really). Like I said the only thing that made this trip not a total flop was the front desk staff

The HVAC in the room was noisy like I was sitting next an engine. The hotel said the HVAC was like that in every room in the whole hotel. Breakfast was unimpressive which was disappointing because we paid more than neighboring hotel so that we could eat breakfast in the hotel. We were staying for a sporting event so we hoped that we could use the washer and dryer. Unfortunately, the staff said that they had the dryer, but it was not connected to be used. I would choose another hotel nearby next time.

If you like moldy wet carpet this is the place for you! Oh and don’t expect the local management or corporate to care about your feedback. 2nd time we had water intrusion from the windows. They were helpful and accommodating the first time so we returned. No issues the next stay but the final stay was awful and when we tried to share videos to show how bad it was they were rude and didn’t want to even see the videos. We travel a lot and wanted to give them a chance to address maintenance issues and improve as it is a great location. Nothing came of multiple attempts to get things shared and rectified. Guess Marriott corporate doesn’t care about people who spend $10k a year on hotels.

Lovatednin downtown Stamford CT, this Residence Inn is fairly new and quite modern. Nit has a nice bar in the lobby and serves full breakfast to guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM. While there is no restaurant on site, there are many diming options around the area. The rooms are quite nice and spacious. They have full kitchen and updated baths.

The hotel is super clean and located in a great area in Downtown Stamford. The decor feels rich and boujee. The room was super spacious and clean. We booked a standard king room which felt like a king suite because of how spacious the room was. The hotel offers free breakfast and coffee. There isn’t a pool on property but they do share a pool with the Courtyard that is also decorated super nice. Lastly, staff was polite and welcoming. I would definitely return whenever I’m back in town.

Not 5 star like a Ritz or resort, but a great downtown oasis. Spacious studio room with all the amenities. Comfy bed. Very friendly staff. Weird hours for the bar. Free breakfast is fine, but it can be crowded. In the middle of town, walk anywhere or grab the big hotel shuttle. You’ll be very comfortable here.

My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Stamford Downtown on for one night last week. The hotel was very nice and clean. However, our one complaint was about the air conditioner. The air conditioner was so loud that my husband and I slept for 2 hours. When I informed the front desk staff that they may want to get the air conditioner looked at so that no one else would have to suffer I received a blank stare. She said that she would talk to her manager, offer me free Marriott points and my certificate back for the inconvenience. I have not received anything and was never contacted.
