Hotel in zona Ropewalk Lane Plaza, St. John's

Great room! The panoramic view is fantastic, so it's really worth a little higher price. The room is small, but it is laid out SO well. They made use of every square inch. One thing that is slightly different in the room is that you need to put a room key in the control panel as you enter as it controls the power going on. As you leave the room, you take out your room key, and it turns off all the power. Very green idea. You have a control panel at the entry of the room and on one side of the bed. Motorized blackout blinds are so convenient! There is a slide out drawer under the bed, which we were able to put most of our day to day clothes in for both of us. We hung the rest of our clothes in the closet. Really smart layout of the room, taking into consideration every opportunity of the space and how best to use it. The shower control is a learning process, but the top small lever control is the shower head to the left or the rain shower to the right. The middle is off for the shower. Had a couple of days of the cold water from the rain head when I didn'tt get it turned exactly to the middle when turning off the shower 🥶The lower handle is the temperature. There was also a larger mini fridge in the room that we used to keep drinks and snacks in. I have to give a shout-out to Mitch at the front desk! He was so helpful and informative. The housekeeping was also really great! You can turn on an electronic ”do not disturb” or request a room freshening from the control panel by the door in your room. The staff then can see the lit up panels as to who needs which. One thing I was not thrilled with was the corner cafe. The food choices were really overdone and expensive. They had burned croissants that they kept for the week I was there. They also didn't offer to heat the food. There is tea and coffee available, which I did get in the mornings. The hotel, however, is definitely a place where I will go back to EVERY time. It was conveniently located downtown. The lobby had plenty of seating, a pool table, and WiFi. It seemed that people would stop for a coffee at the cafe and sit in the lobby to work on their laptops and meet up with others. The hotel had some games you could borrow and play as well as some drinks in a cooler to buy. They have the restaurant Terre, but we didn't get a chance to go to. We ate at places all over town recommended by Mitch, all were fantastic.

Ho avuto un incidente in cui il primo giorno la doccia era sconvolta, così male che abbiamo guardato altri hotel per stare in piedi. Ho fatto un piccolo commento al fatto e lei ha detto che avrei dovuto guardarla. Ora, mi aspettavo di dover chiamare al divano di fronte quando siamo tornati dal giorno, e poi prepararsi a andare da un altro posto quando non era stato fissato, ma dopo un commento, tutto era stato curato da manutenzione prima di tornare dal giorno. Non ho mai visto la ragazza dire di nuovo grazie, ma questo è stato un servizio al cliente. Se davvero questo boutique catena hotel esultava servizio al cliente. Tutti erano gentili ed efficienti, il personale del bar ristorante era utile, conoscente e bella persona. Sembra che adorino andare a un migliaio di più. Il cibo era di base nell'hotel, ma molto buono. Se fosse buono ottenere un piatto di lobster, scommetto che ci mangerebbero più persone, ma davvero era ben curato. Sono sempre felice quando la mia impressione sull'hotel è cambiata. Lo amo. Bella pulita e piacevole, cosa più puoi chiedere. Più letti erano davvero comodi! Grazie per il buon soggiorno!

Everything was great. Super clean, comfy beds and awesome selection of pillows. Big hot tub but the pool was kinda small but definitely worked for us (not complaining just saying). The staff was lovely and helpful. The location was

This hotel is ideally located just steps from nice cafes and the main downtown district while somehow being separate from any bustle. St. John’s is a very hilly city and this Sheraton is on top of a rise, so heading into the action is a downhill stroll. The rooms are comfortable, though many hotels in Newfoundland only offer rooms with two double beds instead of two queens, including this one, which was the main disappointment. The hotel lives up to Marriott standards, with attentive housekeeping and a great restaurant. Newfie hospitality was on full display, with the staff all being friendly and helpful, especially Ashley at the front desk and Jacquina (not sure if I spelled that right) at the restaurant. This is a good hotel to choose for your stay in St. John’s.

Rimasi per alcune notti in luglio come parte di vacanza a St. Johns. Pluses Chiusura all'aeroporto e facile accesso Parcheggio gratuito in sito era in generale pulito. Camera confortevole e cuscini. La nostra stanza era ok in generale. AC se qualcosa era troppo freddo e nessun problema. Silenzio - c'era una ricezione di nozze la notte e non ha sentito niente vicino a camminare. Ma non una lunga guida o camion per arrivare al centro. Per parcheggio di ballo un camion a Quidi Vidi era solo $15 un modo. Molti cabine che aspettano sul sito per le tariffe se hanno bisogno di un cabina Cons Entry ha fumato su entrambi i lati e molte pale di scarico tra i set di porte scivolanti. Le palle sono sempre in acqua, le palle di sigaretta sono in acqua e devono camminare attraverso il fumo ogni volta. La doccia aveva un sacco di capelli lunghi quando arrivava in un muro e bottiglia di sapone - puliti prima che il marito li vide. La sostituzione del caffè varia ogni giorno a volte in pochi pezzi e altre volte in pochi pezzi in crema. Un buon lavaggio di energia e un paio di sedie da patio decente potrebbero fare una differenza. Non c'è altro posto vicino per cena e bevande tardi, appena fatto l'ultima chiamata per la cena. Kudos al personale per servirci con solo 20 minuti di distanza nel loro giorno. In generale - era un vecchio Holiday Inn, piuttosto standard/ basilare in generale, ma abbiamo solo bisogno di un posto per dormire per poche notti e era ok.

This has always been a favourite of ours. But it has gone downhill. Pool was frigid, not as clean as it used to be. Clumps of hair on the side (in the same spots for both days so not sure when they clean), a brown film on the top of the hot tub. Room was nice but some garbage left from previous guests and the heat didn’t work. Breakfast is no longer included with a stay and the options and prices for the breakfast sent us out early to find food elsewhere. The kids had an awesome time with their friends but I will choose another spot for our next adventure as it didn’t feel worth the $190 to be cold the whole time and mildly grossed out at the pool.

Was my favourite hotel before the pandemic and I can say it still is. The customer service is top notch with staff being helpful and going that extra mile for any little thing. Decor is modern and hotel is very clean. Gym is well equipped and spacious and rooms are well maintained, well decorated and have plenty of space. Ample parking and a hotel shuttle and and from airport if needed. While hotel is not downtown, the location is perfect and quiet for anyone not needing to be in the downtown core.
