Mohican Motel

We had a great experience. Old motel that fits the town perfectly, cute and comfy and great walkable location and you cannot beat the free parking since there is no free parking in Cooperstown. Staff were friendly. We really enjoyed sitting outside our room under cover from the rain in an open air balcony to eat dinner right next to our room. We could definitely here others enjoying that area last night, but by 10 it was quiet and being ear plugs if you are super sensitive to noises since it’s an older place with thin walls but it’s a great place for the price:) Absolutely loved Cooperstown.

The Mohican Motel has a wonderful location. We stayed there a week. No matter where we went in the Cooperstown area it didn't take more than 15 minutes to drive there. The shuttle stops right in front of the motel. The refrigerator was a little small. We had trouble fitting the drinks and food we had in there. On a positive note, we never ran out of hot water, although the temperature in the shower was hard to adjust. The bed was comfortable. We had everything we needed while we were there. They even had daily housekeeping, which is hard to find these days. In addition, they provided parking spaces free of charge very close to the room. If we go back to the Cooperstown area, I would not hesitate to stay there again. The price was reasonable, considering the rates I saw for other accommodations in the area.

Arrived to a box fan and a door open to our room. Walked in to nasty musty odor that made it uninhabitable. Not surprisingly we were not moved to a better room. But the expected refund was refused by the smug, smirking woman at the desk we presume to be an owner. Save your money and buy better.
