Nice property, just wished I got the same treatment as other guests. I run tradeshows and marketing events nationwide and book all hotel rooms for all of our staff. I was checking myself in, while other team members were doing the same with other hotel staff right next to me. For some reason, the other members of my event staff were greeted much more warmly, offered their choice in floor, free waters and informed of the complimentary breakfast and property amenities. I got none of those, even though I booked and literally paid thousands of dollars for everyone's rooms. I'm also a rewards member.
What did I do wrong? I'm very courteous, well-mannered and well-spoken. I travel all over the country year-round and this is the first time I've felt compelled to leave a critical review like this.
According to several of my team members and other hotel guests who noticed, the most likely reason was because of my ethnicity. Hope this is wasn't actually the case, but I'm having trouble finding another explanation.
