Hotel in zona Spiez, Spiez

Fantastic 10 night stay at the Vitalresort in May 2023. We booked through TUI from the UK with easyJet flights and train transfers. Could not have been easier to get to the hotel as the Swiss trains and buses are amazing - clean and on time. The hotel is special. The location is very peaceful next to the Lake. We upgraded to a Lake view room which was worth the extra money. The rooms are generously sized with lots of storage space and bed is very comfortable. Cleaning very good - everything is spotless. WIFI in the room was great - we did video conferencing calls throughout the stay with no issues at all. Wonderful gym with a range of equipment and an exercise studio, as well as a spa and sun deck overlooking the Lake. Food was excellent at breakfast and dinner and the service was outstanding at all times. I am a fussy eater and had no issues at all, with staff happy to assist. The a la carte Thai restaurant experience and food was exceptional. Location and transport infrastructure are excellent. The hotel gives you a free bus pass for the local area which was a bonus, as well as a free pass for the paddle steamer on the local lake which means you can do a 2 hour cruise to Interlaken (for free!). We went out and about all over the area for day trips, including Zurich and Lucerne from the hotel very easily. Bern is within 30 minutes on the train and should not be missed. I celebrated my birthday when we were there and was given a surprise gift and handwritten card, which was a lovely touch and not something that most hotels do. Would definitely come back and have already recommended to others.

I couldn’t get a hotel in Bern for a 3 day business meeting so a friend recommended looking for a hotel in Thun, and I am glad I did. It’s a beautiful hotel by the lake with amazing landscape. I stayed on the second floor in the grand lit room. My view wasn’t the lake but it wasn’t bad either. The room is big, well lit by the sun with a small balcony. Thun is 20 minutes on the train from Bern and the hotel is not too far from Thun Station. On Bus number 1, it’s the second stop. The hotel gives complimentary travel ticket anywhere within Thun. My check in was like two seconds. The hotel is quiet and lovely. The rooms do not have air conditioning but with a hotel by the lake who needs air conditioning just crack open you window or balcony door. Small fans are available in the room. There is a central ironing room so don’t except to see and iron in your room The breakfast is very basic, nothing fantastic. It was a good experience for me and I highly recommend this hotel.

Sono rimasto solo per 2 notti, ma è stato molto piacevole dormire in un letto molto comodo dopo un lungo giorno di cammino. (E voglio notare che ero nella stanza più conveniente sio non riesco a immaginare gli altri!) E il personale era bello, molto utile nonostante le mie strane domande in inglese. Vi incoraggio a venire a questo hotel a Thun !

This review was written by my 8-year old daughter: About this hotel: It is a family hotel. If you are a kid, the first thing they are going to do is give you a teddy bear. It has a swimming pool and a gym. The swimming pool is really cool and it has a small waterfall built into a rock. The gym is quite big itself but we didn't go there. It has a nice view and a nice hotel restaurant. The food is really good and they have a really great breakfast. You order the main food and you get to choose the side dishes from a breakfast bar. For the main food, I picked omelet - it is quite yummy but it was not salty enough. For the side dishes, I picked cereal, kiwi and juice. They were all really yummy and sweet. You should go to Dorint. I give this hotel a five star review. -- From the parents' side a few additional notes: On the negative side - There is no AC in the apartment, so while this may not matter in the summer, it was quite warm during our visit (30-35C). It cools off nicely in the evening, but there are no screens on the window, so you'll likely end up with a few moths or other bugs in the room if you leave the windows open. On the positive side, they really cater well to families - from the teddy bear at check-in to a little board game on the back of the kids menu, to the small playground area (which seemed to be good for 4-6 year olds). Siamo stati solo per una notte dopo la visita del musical ”Io senza te” all'hotel Chartreuse. La stanza era molto pulita, i proprietari molto amichevoli e la colazione è stata eccellente. Se ci sarà un'opportunità, sicuramente visiteremo l'Hotel La Chartreuse per un lungo periodo.

Con il pacchetto ”Nur du und ich” abbiamo trascorso un fantastico fine settimana. La camera era rinnovata e pulita. Il personale molto disponibile ed accogliente. La SPA non molto grande, ( due saune, un bagno turco ed una vasca idromassaggio all'aperto) ma pulita e piacevole, soprattutto la sala riposo con una bella vista sul lago e sulle montagne. La SPA è a pochi metri dall'hotel, si raggiunge attraverso il parco. I piatti delle cene, 4 portate, sono stati cucinati bene, gli alimenti di ottima qualità. La prima sera abbiamo cenato nel TUBO, quasi sotto le stelle! Abbiamo scelto la mattina, a colazione, uno dei tre piatti principali proposti : uno di carne, uno di pesce ed uno vegetariano. La colazione è ricca, anche alle 10:30 non mancava niente al buffet. Il parco è sicuramente splendido nella bella stagione. Nella nostra camera, la 44, il bagno è stato ricavato in un angolo della camera costruendo due pareti di vetro. Purtroppo solo una parete di vetro è schermata da una tenda. Chi si trova in camera può vedere chi si fa la doccia o chi fa i bisogni sul wc perché l'altra parete di vetro non è schermata. Basterebbe scurire la parete di vetro per avere la privacy. Noi siamo una coppia e non ci ha disturbato più di tanto.

I booked a one-night stay for my sister's birthday over the weekend and we had an amazing time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved the view from our room on the bay and from the dining room, where we had an amazing dinner (3 plates menu) and breakfast. The breakfast was delicious with lots of local products, sweet and savoury dishes, and fresh fruits. The spa was much bigger than I expected, and we enjoyed the sauna, the jacuzzi outside and the rest rooms with free access to coffee. tea and juice. The room was spacious, with a large dressing and everything you need to be comfortable. The hotel is located in a very calm area, yet it is easy to access and to go for a walk with a beautiful view on the lake. We will definitely come back! Thank you Eden Spiez!

Un soggiorno senza colpa! Home molto professionale e piacevole, abbiamo avuto la buona sorpresa di ricevere un upgrade e dormire in una splendida (e molto grande) a seguito dell'ultimo piano dell'hotel. Camera molto tranquilla con vista sul lago tagliare il respiro. Il ristorante dell'hotel è eccellente con come unico bemol il prezzo proibitivo dell'acqua, che è fatturato 14 franchi.. il litro! A parte questa cattiva sorpresa, tutto era perfetto e eccellente. Colazione perfetta sulla terrazza, piscina con jacuzzi e sauna ideale. Breve soggiorno in questo hotel che consiglio vivamente!

Spiez is a pretty town and this is a pretty hotel. We travelled as a family and had two adjacent rooms. Our purpose was to take part in the triathlon in Thun and it’s very hard to get hotel rooms so we were lucky and had the last two rooms, facing the street rather than the lake, but we could go to the roof terrace to relax and enjoy the view. It was quiet and comfortable, the food was very good (the owners are Italian and Swedish) and the staff are very friendly.
