The hostel is comfortable with a large dining area and small sofa area. They serve food which is handy if you’re not self catering but the self catering kitchen is far too small. Only fits 2 or 3 people before you start having to do a dance to make a meal. Maybe they are just catering to those doing the Great Glen Way and that business model works best for them. DoRm doors closing and hand dryers are noisy during quiet/sleep times.

We ate here while staying nearby and were very impressed with the quality of food on offer. Good menu with plenty of choice and a range of drinks (including beers and cider). We sampled fish & chips, nachos and pudding, all good. Definitely worth a stop.

We camped here a couple of nights whilst cycling the Great Glen Way, using hostel showers and other facilities. Self catering kitchen was small for the number of residents however this was more than compensated for by the excellent home cooked food available. Fish and chips and venison chilli excellent as was rocky road and chocolate brownie. All reasonably priced. Breakfast available too, hot food especially good value. Being able to buy food was especially helpful as we were carrying tent etc. Staff pleasant and helpful.

We were only meant to stay one night, using it as a stop over from Isle of Wight to North Uist. The ferry was cancelled twice and the team were so helpful and accommodating. The whole place is well run, efficient and kept very clean. The new food option is a brilliant addition with Rhona and the chef making gorgeous food The venison chilli was especially delicious as were the apple cake with toffee sauce pudding as well as the aero rocky road. Will definitely be back. Recommend to everyone. What a super place and super super staff,!

Really good budget place to stay. They provide a small choice of meals or you can self cater. A friendly, well run place. A choice of rooms or beds in dorms. Can also be an emergency camping option if you just need somewhere to pitch and use the facilities. Beware can be a difficult access to busy main road, and will need transport if staying more than couple of nights. Overall though very good, quiet hostel.

This is a lovely building in a great location but the facilities let it down. The water for showers and washing up was only just lukewarm (no explanation given when we mentioned it to the warden). The kitchen for residents is tiny with one small fridge and one kettle. No where to store food. The hostel was quite quiet when we were there and kitchen barely coping! Layout needs a rethink!!

Great place to stay for the cost of a room. facilities were great. Warm cozy and very clean. Vicky the manager went above and beyond to cater for our needs. Will definitely go back and stay so we can further explore this lovely part of Scotland.

Stopped in here for breakfast on the way to Fort William. Fantastic food! Great prices! Friendly staff!!! We were not staying the night but the building and premises seemed very clean! Will definitely go back and stay if I’m back to Scotland!

Great location, clean, comfortable, all the facilities one needs for a few days away exploring! Vicky and the crew were lovely, great chat and couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend and will most certainly be staying again!
