Anelli Hotel

Bit late with this review as we stopped here for New year. What an absolute gem of a hotel this is. The excellent customer service started even before we travelled when there was a mix up over our booking ( my fault entirely ) and Adriana sorted everything swiftly over the phone for us. This hotel is modern, clean, friendly and extremely well appointed, the location is perfect for the lake, the sea front the shops and all local bars and restaurants Lord St and the town centre is less than five minutes walk away. Our room ( room 9 ) was compact but very well equipped with everything we required including more plug sockets than we could ever need - a refreshing change from the usual and being at the rear it was very quiet. We spent New years eve in the hotel bar and had a superb evening with Roberto spending all evening making pizza's for everyone including a special one off type for my partner as she doesn't like tomato - excellent customer service all round. The continental breakfast was plentiful, tasty and a nice change from the usual fry up. My only grumble ( and this is only me personally ) is the bed was on the hard side for my liking. In short, if your staying in Southport you will have to search hard to find accommodation as good as this for the price they charge. Give it a try, you won't be dissapointed.

This is a great hotel in the heart of Southport. We stayed in a family room, which was actually two separate rooms. Great if you've got a moody teenager or two! The family who run it are just brilliant, and the breakfast basket was delicious. We'll definitely go back.
