Premier Inn Southampton City Centre (West Quay)

Great location. Very nice room. Very convenient location for travelling. Staff advised me to book online to save money even though I arrived prepared to pay more for a last-minute booking. They went above and beyond. Great price in the end.

Premier plus rooms are fabulous. The meal deal and service in the restaurant was unbelievable value and quality. Staff including Emily our waitress were extremely friendly and efficient. Can't rate higher than 10 out of 10! Lovely atmosphere too

I stayed there visiting a friend who was over from Guernsey having treatment at the hospital. The room, as always, was spotless the staff were faultless in looking after him and were very supportive and went above and beyond to make him comfortable and helping him come down for meals, . I would highly recommend this hotel and again the staff were fantastic I was there from Friday 1st March to Sunday 3rd March so thank you to everyone.

When I arrived, I was met by a lovely young man at the front desk (such as it was). I told him who I was and he confirmed my check-in. I offered ID but he said it wasn't necessary. I noticed that the front desk staff also worked in the restaurant and there was frequently no one at the front or there was a wait until someone arrived. There was no phone in the room to contact the front desk so I found that very frustrating, especially when an alarm went off the next morning and I had no idea what was going on. I stayed two nights, and on the second night, I was looking forward to fish and chips but they had none left. I ordered a not-so-great hamburger and fries. The staff was nice but they seemed rushed. I would rather pay a bit more next time and have a hotel experience where there is a full-time front desk, room phone and a choice of restaurants in the area. I was sailing from Southampton and it was minutes from the cruise port so that is the reason I chose this hotel.

The premier inn plus rooms are newly renovated with wireless phone charging and plenty of sockets around the room well designed, clean and welcoming. The location is perfect, close to West Quay shopping centre and not too far from the port for anyone heading off on a cruise. There is a restaurant at the hotel but there is a huge choice just a stones throw away if you plan on heading out for the evening. I stay in premier inn hotels all over the country for work, and this is one of my favourite locations. Plenty of cheap parking available in the multi storey car park next to the hotel £6 for 24 hours. Its less than a 2 minute walk to the hotel entrance. I would recommend a stay here.

Nice room. Comfortable bed. Very bad start to the morning. Cold shower, no hot water at all. Cold breakfast buffet. Given some lame excuse about a water leak at the other end of town. Definitely won’t be returning here! At least the day can only get better

I usually stay at a Premier Inn wherever I can and was pleased to be able to book this one which was very close (5 minute walk) to the the cruise departure point in which I had to be at the following morning. The hotel is situated across the road to huge shopping centre which has many restaurants and a cinema . It's also next to IKEA and outlet shops. So ideal for any forgotten travel items. On arrival I was warmly greeted by a lady called Jenna, who kindly offered to store my luggage in a secure room as I had arrived earlier than the check in time, which was great as it gave me time to explore the area luggage free. The staff at the hotel are all great and hard working. However I must give a special mention to Elle, who served tirelessly at the Thyme restaurant at the hotel and even though it was a very busy evening, she always served cheerfully and professionally.

Excellent experience. Great for a pre-cruise stay. Have used on numerous occasions, and always found the service good, with large comfortable rooms. The meal deal is very good and cleanliness 100% throughout. Highly recommend... Good location right next to the shopping centre and short distance to the cruise port.

Very clean and new rooms. Quite small room for 4 people, but for the price was perfect for what we needed. Multi storey car park was very cheap too and breakfast lovely. Very close to shops. No noise from adjacent rooms and had a great night's sleep here.
