This place is run by an old guy who simply does not care Major faults Omg the road noise is bad The light on the landing kept going on and off all night and there was a gap under my door. The noise from him in the kitchen was bad No chair for the desk so you can't work at it The shower is v hard to get a temperature that dies not burn or freeze you Breakfast is not as shown. No cereal the sausage was rank horrible, the milk for the tiny coffee was so small in volume my coffee were nearly black Not sorry at all. I am so tired I will need to book another room elsewhere Minor things No socket next to the bed so you can't charge your phone and have it on the bedside table. A simple extension lead for 5 quid would solve it The body wash was not in the shower and the pump did not work, You simply get the feeling the guy has given up. No pride in what he does. Maybe a bit forgetful as well. Oh and tight. If he could provide less he would ie like milk lol It's a real shame but avoid. Don't get fooled by nice pictures

My wife and myself stayed for one night at Walcot House , Denise and Rob made us very welcome , the room was perfect , bright and spotlessly clean , Full English breakfast , which was spot on , thank you we will definitely be staying again

Our motorhome broke down travelling to Fawley for an event over the weekend and we needed very last minute accommodation. Walcot House was a 5 minute walk from where we needed to be so absolutely perfect, but their website showed that they were full (like most accommodation in the wider area as it was the start of the school holidays). We phoned on the off chance they had something and spoke to the lovely Denise who said they had a small double available with a small en-suite, would that be ok? As we needed to attend the event it was very much ok! Upon arrival in the evening we were greeted by the equally lovely Rob. We were expecting a very small bed, but it was a very good size and the en-suite was absolutely fine too. Both much bigger than our motorhome, so we were very happy. The room was very clean & tidy and on the ground floor. The breakfast room was right next door and breakfast itself was a joy. Several great choices including gluten-free bread for my husband (who subsequently indulged in a full English breakfast). All in all we had a fantastic stay and will not hesitate to recommend Walcot House to anyone!

Rob, the owner gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home throughout our stay. We stayed in twin bedroom 4 which was a very clean, comfortable good sized room and en suite. The location is ideal for exploring the New Forest and surrounding areas. There was a very good and varied breakfast menu, more variety than any other guest house I have stayed. The area itself does not have any local pubs or restaurants which didn’t affect us as we had already booked dinner in Hythe and Lymington. Other places are a short drive away

My room was clean and had everything I needed. It was very hot and there was a fan in the wardrobe. Rob the host was extremely helpful My room was downstairs, as I am disabled and at the front, although I could hear the traffic, I slept wel on the comfortable bed. Checkout was at 10.30 after a scrumptious breakfast
