Viking Shores Motor Inn

My family had this motel booked for 8 nights a couple months ahead of our trip. Firstly, When my grandma had booked this motel, it said that breakfast was included in the price but when we got here, the concierge said that there is new management and breakfast is no longer being served. This was not mentioned after booking, probably because they did not want to lose the booking. Secondly, upon entering our room, there was a horrible smell, the garbage bin was full, the shower was disgusting and looked like someone had just taken a shower because there was hair and water in the tub, there was also a used soap and coffee stains by the sink. When we brought this to the concierges’ attention, he said there wasn’t anything he could do besides give us a new room. The new room was very outdated and the beds were very poor quality so we decided to ask for a refund. We ended up booking with the Rodeway Inn, they were very nice and accommodating. Please don’t be fooled by the reviews, it’s ok if you just want somewhere to stay for a night or 2 but it’s not clean at all and it’s just not worth the money, spend a little extra for better quality and a better experience.

The room was clean but….the decor was very dated. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were in plastic cases. The room was musty smelling but thankfully the windows opened. The pool was nice but no stairs to enter. The coffee in the morning tasted like vending machine coffee. It is right on the rail trail. There was a critter in the ceiling the last night.

I had several people from my wedding stay at this hotel. Most of them reported issues with their room, such as mold, bad smells, and even bedbugs. I reached out to management for multiple weeks and did not hear back from them. Once I finally got in contact with them, they expressed that it’s not their problem and that they would not do anything to make the situation right. I would highly suggest you find somewhere else to stay rather than this establishment.

We have stayed at Viking Shores several times. In an attempt to return, a direct call was made to receive a better quote than on line. A MAN WITH A HEAVY ACCENT STATED THAT THE MOTEL IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY BREAKFAST. THE QUOTE RECEIVED WAS 200 DOLLARS MORE THAN ON LINE FOR A 3 NIGHT STAY. THIS INFORMATION WAS SHARED, THE MAN SAID THAT HE COULD GIVE US A QUEEN BED! FOUND ANOTHER MOTEL!

BED BUGS! if you aren't affraid of BED BUGS this is your place. Did I mention this place is infected with BED BUGS and FILTHY. Old style rooms that can't block noise from next rooms. I had to buy Bug spray and bleach and stll couldnt get rid of BED BUGS! Do yourself a favor GO ELSEWHERE! BED BUGS!

In general, you get what you pay for. On a side note, the pool stairs were not in the pool, but sitting on the other side of the fence. The pool deck could use some deep cleaning.

This motel is perfect for short stays on the Cape. The motel is nested perfectly between Orleans and Provincetown. You will have multiple choices of beaches and restaurants to enjoy each day. If you love biking, the Cape Cod rail trail is footsteps off the property.
