Hotel in zona Mowbray Park, South Shields

Truthfully this was a panic-booking! After LNER cancelled every train moving southbound from Newcastle, I just chose the cheapest place I could find in the city I was stranded in. With easyHotel, check-in was super seamless even though we had to wait a little bit in queue. Receptionists were friendly and helpful, and walked us through check-in and check-out. Arriving in our room, it was definitely cozy but it absolutely did the job for what we needed for the night! It was clean, bed was comfortable, there was television for entertainment, a table and a chair if you need them, toilet was spotless, and shower had wonderful water pressure. We were even allowed to order in food from Deliveroo at two separate occasions, which we thoroughly appreciated after a long and disappointing journey of cancelled trains and bitter weather. We had a fun dinner in our room while watching rugby, it just made for such an enjoyable stay! We slept really well and got freshened up for a new day with no hassle at all. Check-out was, of course, seamless once again and once we got out of easyHotel in the daylight we came to appreciate the stunning scenery of Newcastle we were nestled in! The location was surprisingly so nice, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect accidental stay to a new city. It definitely relieved so much of our tiredness and disappointment from the previous day. Definitely a 10/10, would recommend you to stay in at easyHotel if you're planning a short trip or a cheap alternative ♡

Rimasto al Grand Hotel per 3 notti con colazione. Solo un breve autobus o auto da Sunderland stazione ferroviaria e facile da trovare come è sul fronte della spiaggia con passeggiata di distanza verso ristoranti, caffè e arcade di intrattenimento. Vi è anche un Morrisons che si trova a soli 5 minuti a piedi dall'hotel. Il personale è molto utile e amichevole, l'hotel è molto pulito con tutto quello che serve nella vostra stanza da pannolini a tavolo a secco di ferro, tè e caffè caldaia, telefoni sicuri e una TV enorme. C'è anche una palestra, una grande piscina, una sauna e una stanza a vapore e un tubo caldo jacuzzi. Amorevole il mio soggiorno qui e io defo sarò di nuovo! Presto spero 😃😃

It's a good price for where th hotel is it's nice and close to everything! But the restaurant inside th hotel has actually shut down and we didn't no this until we actually went to get food which was abit annoying! The staff were ok but not as friendly and nice as other hotels I have been to. I am diabetic and my blood sugar was dropping we tried to ask for help but they weren't to fussed thankfully there was a vending machine

Al contrario della stazione ferroviaria, è molto conveniente.La stanza è circa 12-13 metro quadrato.L'igiene pulita.Ci sono tutte le funzioni, ci sono pannelli di biancheria e mini bar.Per soggiornare è necessario un deposito, una carta di credito 100 sterline o 250 sterline in contanti. Quasi 150 anni di storia dell'edificio, entrambi gli ascensori sono stati danneggiati durante il soggiorno, sono saliti al quinto piano con cose pesanti (in altri paesi, il sesto piano) e hanno scoperto che la carta di soggiorno non può aprire la porta, e la cantina può scendere di nuovo al tavolo per rifacciare la carta.Il prezzo è più alto. Newcastle è una piccola città di dimensioni contea, che vive qui in altri luoghi in realtà entro 15 minuti a piedi.

Difficile da raggiungere come lavori stradali e confuso sistema di un modo. Il sito web ha annunciato parcheggio auto per soggiorno overnight £5 ma il costo reale è £15. La camera aveva una grande finestra di vetro ma sul pavimento con vista su una strada. Nessuna possibilità di aria fresca così rumorosa condizionamento d'aria significava un sonno incomodo. Mini bar con niente in esso. Cup di caffè £ 4.95. Il personale sembrava piuttosto indifferente come molti turisti venivano e andavano. Non consigliere come altri hotel vicini offrono parcheggio gratuito e molto più facile arrivare in strada.

The drive up to the castle was was fantastic as the view of the castle looked stunning. The entrance to the court yard for parking was quaint and inviting. The look of the court yard looking at all the out buildings looked inviting and very well presented. The “stocks” make for great entertainment The entrance to the reception is like looking for the secret door but the plaque at the side with history information explains why and is interesting to read. Inside the reception is is quite dark but this for me added to the ambience of the place. The staff where welcoming, polite and explained the hotel set up. We stayed in one of the room in the courtyard which was beautiful. Very nicely decorated and good value for money. The room was cozy. We’d booked to have a meal in the Knights Restaurant and we had pre drinks in the bar first The walk to the restaurant through the corridor into the central courtyard was very different yet beautiful. It’s so old and it was nice to see it was decorated and kept within “keeping” The bar again was inviting and cosy and it was great to see that the drinks and wine list was very reasonably priced. So often places know you are a target audience and inflate the prices ridiculously however in our opinion the castle had not done this. There was a good choice of cocktails and the “smoked” cocktails added that something a little bit different and we didn’t mind paying a few pounds more for the “quirkiness”. Again the staff where very professional, friendly and well presented. The walk from the bar/lounge area to the Knights Restaurant was stunning through the corridors of the castle and past a lovely looking staircase and when we walked into the restaurant I was overwhelmed as it was stunning and not what I was expecting. The arched ceiling, the lighting, the privacy of how the tables where set out we felt was very nice. We thought it all created a romantic setting. It was very secluded but included. The menu choice was good and the food was beautiful. The service was great too and again the staff were very professional, polite and very well presented. The prices on the menu varied so I would say they’d catered fo most people’s budget and it was your own choice on how much you spend Our nights sleep was comfortable and the walk back from the restaurant to the courtyard was well lit but again in keeping with been in a castle environment. Great use of mood lighting. My husband even went into the stocks on the was home (🤣) Breakfast the next morning again did not disappoint. The selection was fantastic and plenty of food to choice from Overall we can can not fault our experience. It was a lively venue with great facilities and very well presented. The staff where Courteous, polite, friendly and very well presented. I would recommend this as a place to go and stay. We must go back so we can stay in one of the castle rooms as I am sure they would be as good and maybe even more “quirkier” than the courtyard rooms which were very nice.

Un amico che si trovava anche all'hotel ha avuto un incidente lontano dall'hotel. Ha attraversato un timone che gli ha tagliato la testa. Il personale di ricezione ha aiutato molto a pulire i piastrini e a fornire i piastrini.

Stavo in una camera familiare che era piccola ma aveva tutto quello che ci serviva. La posizione era buona, a soli 10 minuti a piedi in città. Il colazione era incluso e aveva una buona selezione. Il ricevitore era davvero amichevole, chattare con i bambini e farli ridere. C'era un parcheggio a buon prezzo vicino alla porta, e rimarremmo qui di nuovo.

Belle boutique come un hotel, le camere erano belle. Solo il problema è il rumore del traffico, abbiamo avuto le camere che si trovavano davanti all'autostrada e l'altra che si trovava anche davanti alla strada. . Il rumore del traffico era chiaramente disturbante e le finestre non erano buone. Breakfasr deve essere prenotato e non può camminare in cui non è conveniente.

In generale, mi sono divertito molto con la mia permanenza qui, eccetto per il colazione che ritornerò in un momento. L'hotel è così bellamente situato vista l'acqua e si può andare a piedi lungo la spiaggia fino alla spiaggia. Il personale era molto amichevole e utile in ogni momento. La mia stanza era pulita e aveva tutto quello che doveva, tra cui una buona vista. Il pasto serale di merluzzo e chips era eccellente. L'unica grande delusione era la colazione. Ho chiesto un salsa vegetariana, ma mi è stato detto che avrei dovuto aspettare 20 minuti (e mi sono precipitato a un incontro in modo da non poter aspettare) così ho scelto altre cose vegetariane che erano davvero molto povere - pomodori tinti, Camere di gomma senza gusto e fagioli dolci. Allora volevo caffè di caffè, ma tutto quello che avevano era un tin di istante. Gli standard del colazione potevano essere molto migliorati, ma in un altro modo, mi piaceva molto l'hotel.
