Beechwood Guest House

We stayed here for my nan’s 70th birthday. The host was so nice and friendly and made us feel so comfortable during our stay. The room was one of the cleanest we have stayed in before. We had the breakfast during our stay and it was absolutely delicious. Would definitely stay here again without a doubt!

The room was excellent value: comfortable, clean, very well equipped and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfy with nice linen and the ensuite bathroom was very nice with a good strong shower. The whole place has a nice vibe and the owner is kind and will go out of his way to make sure you are happy. At breakfast my friend and i being vegetarians he was flexible and offered me combinations that were not on the menu although there were also some vegetarian set breakfasts. It was delicious. I have also visited here as a solo female traveller and have felt very safe and secure here. I would recommend this place to all but particularly to female travellers like myself. The website is a true reflection of what the rooms are like. They really are that nice.

Excellent Guesthouse. Spotlessly clean and the owner is very welcoming. Comfortable bed and good choice of breakfast which is payable separately. Close to beach and big variety of restaurants. Close to town centre. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely lovely guest house, room well appointed, lovely hot shower and warm as toast room, my host / owner is such a lovely helpful guy so approachable nothing is too much trouble for him, would highly recommend to anyone and everyone to stay here you will not be disappointed at all. All in all I'm grateful for everything he has helped me with. 10/10. bed is super comfortable I had a wonderful night sleep,

Small but perfect for a weekend break to attend a wedding party , Rez was a great host and cooked a fabulous breakfast. Central for beach , parks and town . Spotlessly clean and modern fittings . Would stay again without hesitation . Thank you Rex , keep up the good work .

I enjoyed my weekend stay at the Beechwood Guest House at South Shields. The host is friendly, helpfull & will do all he can for his guest's. The single room with en suite I stayed in was exceptional. This room was immaculate, freshly decorated & well presented. The free wifi, smart tv, chair n table, kettle, iron n ironing board, fridge, hairdryer & last but not least Alexa was all very pleasing. The bed was very comfortable & i slept very well at the Beechwood. The breakfast cooked for me was delicious & what was on offer was faultless along with the service provided. The Beechwood Guest House is without question one of the best places I have stayed at to date. Finally the Beechwood Guest House gives me great value for my money afterall.
