The White Hart Hotel

I visited Hingham Norfolk for the first time with my twin sister and her husband this past May, 2024. This was a life's dream as it was a genealogy trip to visit the town my father's family came from in England back in 1633. My hope was to have a guide from the Historical Society but due to illness, that wasn't possible. I sent an email to The White Hart staff explaining the situation and asked if they had any suggestions. What a lovely surprise awaited us upon arrival at the hotel. One of the staff was so kind to gather numerous pamphlets on the history of Hingham for us! Honestly, this blew me away but that was just the first surprise. Katie showed us to our rooms and oh my, they were absolutely BEAUTIFUL! My room was updated with a bathroom I wish I had at home. The wooden beam that ran the width of the room is from Medieval times. The bed was by far the most comfortable I slept in throughout our trip through England and Scotland. They even had a modern air conditioner in the room, not that we needed it in May. After walking the town, we relaxed in the bar area for some drinks. It was a very comfortable atmosphere. We had dinner upstairs and that was really delicious. Honestly, the staff couldn't have been nicer. The only regret was our itinerary allowed us only one night in Hingham but we truly enjoyed every minute of it. To the White Hart Staff and Katie, I thank you so much for the wonderful time we had in your hotel and Hingham. It surpassed our wildest dreams.

A family group of 8 of us stayed here recently on a Saturday night. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially the owner Katie. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, luxurious and extremely well furnished. We all ate in the restaurant that evening and everyone enjoyed their meal and drinks. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and a huge choice was available. Thank you for an excellent enjoyable stay and we will definitely be back.

Amazing Amazing Amazing! Firstly thank you to the star of the show for us.. Martin the cleaner.. He is the friendliest person ever.. He took time out of his busy schedule to show us around all of the rooms so we know which one to book in the future and also told us some stories of the history of the hotel - I love the mannequin story! He cleans to a fine standard! Food - Amazing.. We only had a breakfast but the sausages were the best I think I have ever had - If you are in the area just pop in it’s delicious Room - Beautiful.. Huge bed.. we stayed in the Cozy Room which is exactly what it is.. You won’t be disappointed with ANY room though they are all done to a very high standard! Lastly all staff were very pleasant and it is nice to see the actual Owners of the hotel joining in with the team and working as part of the team! Thank you for a wonderful birthday night treat! We will absolutely return in the winter for my birthday treat!

Highly recommended - went here with my husband, 4 year old and 2 month baby, we rung ahead to see if there was a table, there was! Was met with friendly service, big and spacious pub but also very cosy and wholesome, lovely big, candle lit table we sat at. We were welcomed as a family and they are geared up for little ones too, with a box of toys and colouring in, which made us feel at ease and our little one loved! Great choice of drinks and I loved how they had cocktails too, some I had never heard of but thoroughly enjoyed! The ‘snickeroo’ I think I had! Good choice of beer, cider and wine too. Food was delicious, lots of choice but also really well done. Simply delicious. Service was excellent. Kid friendly but not overbearing so we still felt we were having a nice meal out in a nice place. Ticked all the boxes for us! Will definitely return.

All the staff at the White Hart are just so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was excellent, service excellent, my room was cosy and was called The Cosy Room. The owners are so blessed to have such lovely staff. Tilly, Hannah, Lexy and the lovely young man that served the suppers and lovely young lady who tried to sort out the problems with the individual openings of the room doors, so nice. The doors on the rooms did concern me, as my friend staying opposite me got stuck in her room and had to call down to reception for someone to rescue her. Apparently it was due to the heat and a swollen door and waiting for a new door lock. I also heard the couple next door to me having a problem with accessing their room because of the difficulty with opening their room door. The staff could not have been more helpful but I do think the owners are responsible for ensuring the locks on the doors are changed to avoid the problems reoccurring. Health and Safety? However, that's the only thing I can fault. As I said staff could not have been more kinder or more helpful, they really were brilliant. Thank you.

Lovely room. Friendly & attentive staff. Fantastic food. Good value. I totally recommend the White Hart. Over the years I have spent attending the BSB weekend at Snetterton I have stayed in numerous local establishments. I'd recommend most of them but the White Hart stands out. Look forward to re-visiting.
