This gem in the center of the city is an Oasis of relaxation and chill nestled within a Heritage Hotel . Comfortable and peaceful with everything you need. My partner and I had a too-short staycation there and we were beyond pleased . Great for business, couples or families .

Ci sono hotel lussuosi e hotel, magari non perfetti, che però emanano un fascino e infondono un’atmosfera particolare. Ecco il The Dharmawangsa Jakarta appartiene a questa seconda categoria. Il tempo potrà corrompere qualche mobile, rovinare qualche tappezzeria ma sarà ed è quel tempo galantuomo di cui si cibano gli oggetti destinati a diventare antichi e non semplicemente vecchi. Ecco rivedo questo albergo tra 20 o 40 anni come un’antica maniero in cui si gireranno dei film in costume ma mai come un vecchio edificio destinato alla demolizione. E in fondo il The Dharmawangsa Jakarta è tutto qui. Il suo fascino mi ricorda per certi versi un altro hotel in cui soggiornai qualche anno fa: il Sukhothai di Bangkok. Stesso calore e attenzione per gli spazi. La camera normale è amplia e comunque lussuosa con una bellissima zona bagno. Zona ristorante piacevole ma soprattutto gli spazi esterni sono meravigliosi e trasmettono quello stesso fascino che ha tutto l’hotel. Servizio ottimo ma come potrebbe essere diversamente in Indonesia?

The Dhamawangsa Hotel. From the moment we entered the hotel, we could see that we were home. Thank you, Mas Basly. He is very accomodating to our needs. What a great welcoming experience for such a majestic hotel. Thank you for the welcome traditional cakes.

Very warm welcome and smooth check in. Got an extended check out by the friendly Mr. Basly and a doll for my kid from the super helpful Mr. Hasman who has been working there over 20 years. The room was clean... but its a bit damp due to the carpet. The breakfast area was pleasant. The food and the coffee were nice too.

Experiencing a new atmosphere with dining in the style of old Jakarta, known as Batavia. Starting from the arrival at The Dharmawangsa Hotel, warmly welcomed by Mas Arief Basly and directly guided to the restaurant. The service was truly exceptional.

My stay at The Dharmawangsa was quite satisfying. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel displayed high quality materials for its interior and decor. Staff were all responsive and friendly. Breakfast was excellent in terms of product and service. However, reservation is definitely an area for improvement. We could only be in touch with them during weekdays and working hours, which made the booking process too long when we had inquiries.

Perfect service! Very welcoming team, hassle free. Very nice food. Room is indeed large and convenient. I just liked a better bed and pillow quality but it’s still fine. They offered juice and coffee at room, also seeing fruit on the desk waiting for you is a nice welcome. I’ll book room again. Special thanks to Mr. Ahmadi.
