Clarks Exotica Island House, Portblair

We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Despite the high charges, the only amenity available was the swimming pool—there was nothing else to justify the cost. We were traveling with senior citizens, and the property being in a hilly area made things very inconvenient. The walk from the room to the restaurant was too long, and although the staff promised that an electric cart would assist us, half of the time it never arrived. Breakfast and dinner were included in our package, but the meals were extremely basic and lacked variety. For dinner, we were served just one vegetable dish and one dal, with no elaborate options or even a simple salad. It was quite underwhelming. The hotel also seemed severely understaffed, and the service reflected this. To top it all off, the bathroom facilities were poorly maintained, with toilet flushes not working properly. Overall, I cannot recommend this property to anyone. It was a disappointing stay, and I suggest looking for better alternatives.

Staff are friendly and they give you suggestions in terms of how you can spend your day in port Blair. The rooms are French type and are as shown in the pictures. But the property is outside the city and wouldn’t give that luxury experience, it’s more like a air bnb type.

A true hidden gem, small property and thankfully so. Very tasteful , each piece has been picked up after a thorough research. Amazing pool, probably one of the biggest and view would kill many. Will I come back- OF COURSE. Must complement the staff- amongst the politest
