We stayed in a studio apartment for 10nights and had a wonderful holiday. Joseph (Giuseppe) and his wife could not have done anything to make us more comfortable. The studio had a separate bedroom, kitchen/diner and bathroom and although it wasn’t luxurious it was clean and comfortable and had all the basics we needed. We prepared only breakfast and snacks in the studio and ate in restaurants for dinner, The accommodation is high on a hill with breathtaking views of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. It is 1km to the main road and in total about a mile to the train station. A little bit further to the main Tasso Square. When we arrived in Sorrento, Joseph picked us up from the train/bus station at no charge and he dropped us back there when we left. There is also a free shuttle up snd down the hillside (1km) between 4pm and midnight every day. To walk down it takes about 10-15mins and there is a medium sized supermarket nearby at the bottom. The shuttle is s must to get your shopping home! It’s not a bad walk back up the hill if you’re fit and want to do it. My husband walks with a stick and he did it with some grit and determination. There is plenty to see and do in and around Sorrento and this accommodation is away from the noise and crowds of tourists. It’s definitely no more than s 3 star property and the wifi is only available when you stand near the main entrance. That can be a nuisance but for Sorrento the property offers great value for money. There is a swimming pool, a newly built loo and changing room, a rooftop terrace and sun loungers. There aren’t many guests so there is always a sun bed available! The property is set among 500 lemon trees and olive trees, pretty gardens and you can pick lemons for your drinks and food as you need them. Sorrento has many mosquitoes so take repellant. The windows and door have screens across to protect against them but they still get in. The weather turned at the end of our stay but Joseph got the heating on and extra blankets - such kind and caring hosts. If you are ok with ‘no frills’ accommodation then this is a great place to stay.
