The views at this hotel are spectacular from everywhere!! We just left Monaco and were looking to continue our amazing vacation and this hotel did not disappoint. Although the hotel wasn’t as plush as I had hoped…The service and hospitality was truly amazing! We spent 4 days at the Hotel Minerva and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is close to the town center and is walkable. We also had delicious breakfast and evening dinner which was fantastic. The hotel has a cozy feel and the staff is amazing. Guceppe the head waiter is phenomenal …I would definitely recommend staying here was not disappointed.

The hotel is a charming old fashioned colourful villa style place. Room was comfortable and clean. We had the room with a balcony and sea view which was breathtaking! Food was good and we have eaten breakfast and dinner as well as lunch at pool bar. Evening entertainment was class and made the evening very pleasant, listening to music and enjoying a cocktail on the terrace. A special mention to Franco (pool side), Antonio (bar) and Giuseppe (restaurant)! Who were all very helpful and lovely!!

This hotel is the perfect location, it has wonderful views of vesuvius and the bay of Sorrento. The staff throughout the hotel are excellent especially Giuseppe and his restaurant team who go above and beyond looking after all the guests. The food is very good and a great choice for breakfast and evening meals. Our room was large and spacious with good air conditioning and very clean. We have recommended this hotel to our friends and family and look forward to returning sometime soon.

Stunning small traditional boutique hotel with the best views of the Bay of Naples including Mount Vesuvius. Great location as 15 minute walk to Sorrento centre. Staff were friendly but attentive and professional at all times. Customer service was excellent from all departments but particularly I have to mention all the waiters and waitresses in the restaurant and Antonio from the bar service who could not have done more for us. Rooms were spacious, amazing views and air con worked well. Cleaned daily but towels were not changed that regularly, however, I think this is so much better for the environment so didn’t bother me at all. In fact far more sustainable so this is a big tick in my opinion. My slight negative comment is one of the fridges in the room didn’t work very well (702) and the (203) bath was high and narrow and bathroom was a bit dated. Beds a bit too hard. Food was delicious and plentiful. We opted for half board and we were happy we did. Catered very well for gluten free, coeliac as they had a special section at breakfast including a separate toaster and explained every dinner what my daughter could have and would also provide gluten free pasta or pizza if she wanted it. A couple of days we had very early trips so they provided us with a packed breakfast which was lovely and convenient. Pool area the roof was kept very clean, provided towels and I’m so glad we opted for a hotel with a pool. Alway’s got a sunbed and lovely food and drinks available to purchase at the pool bar. Do not bring, eat or drink your own food around the pool. This is not allowed and this is definitely one of the reasons why it was so clean. No bins in sight! Only thing I’d change is get rid of single use plastic straws, unless they were biodegradable, if so I apologise for this comment. Overall I’d recommend this hotel if staying in Sorrento. It’s a hidden gem and I’m so glad I booked it. I’d definitely come back here. Thank you to the team at Hotel Minerva. Keep doing what you are doing.

Adored our visit to Hotel Minerva, it embodies the essence of first class Italian hospitality. It has been a family-owned hotel since 1875 and almost 150 years after it welcomed its first guests, the warmth and passion of the people who run the hotel is palpable and sincere. It's a glorious setting, set just above the main town with magnificent views from its terrace, yet only a 15 minute walk to the main streets. The staff are wonderful, always smiling and ready to help, particularly Giuseppe and the restaurant crew and Francesco and his pool team. A special mention to Antonio, the very charming bar manager who makes the best Aperol Spritz and greets everyone as a dear friend. We stayed for a fortnight and loved the hotel so much that we spent a lot of our time there, relaxing on the terrace, reading in the sitting rooms and swimming. The decor is charming, with contrasting jewel-coloured velvet sofas and chairs, matching the intricate patterns of the tiled hallways. It's a peaceful haven.
