We moved into the cottage for a lengthy stay. At the cost of the insurance company. We had stayed there before, and loved the quietness as the building was away from road noise. How things change, a huge buildings, air conditioners and refrigerators noise around 4 metres from where our head was at night. 24 hours a day First 3 nights. got little sleep, got used to though. The property next door had yelling children in daylite hours as there was an attraction next door. I have read the other reviews, surprised to hear so much about Veanne being rude, but now I know better. We had an open time stay, I suggested that 3 weeks, and Vienne said she had crossed out the rest of the year anyway. Got on well, she came and had drinks with us. She asked us how to get rid of tourists that she sugested was smoking inside, She also told me on arrival that, she had canceled someone’s stay so we could stay there. I should have seen the writing on the wall. About 10 days away from moving back nome. We got an email from our insurance company 2-30pm telling us from the landlady that we vacate that afternoon. She wasn’t home so sent her a text asking her if this was correct. Yes; I am 75 and disabled. Had to move quickly and find a friend we could stay with. That is what I think about how anyone could be so cruel, she didn’t come home for the rest of the dat the other things seem small in reflection, oven no trays. Microwave no bowls, ants, scratchy sheets, wifi very slow and at times nothing. Vianne did keep the cleaning up to scratch, plenty of books, puzzles etc. every week she gave us bread and a cake. I do like things like that. I guess the reason I am so upset is because that is me being a bad judge of character. Richmond is a lovely village, with pleasant places to find
