Big4 Acclaim Prospector Holiday Park

Pre booked and turned up to find office closed. No answer on the first 2 numbers I called and eventually got through to someone on third attempt. Was asked if I received a text with check in details - er no, I wouldn't be ringing if I knew what to do Eventually got to our pitch Swimming pool nice but limited garden furniture - 1 sun bed. Very run down overall and in need of a LOT of TLC in all areas but particularly showers and toilets. Advertised wifi non existent. One night was enough

The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless, excellent camp kitchen and laundry facilities. The showers were hot and strong The location is central to retail areas and tourist attractions We recommend the park

Omg where to start over priced have to be a Midget to have a shower had to go to 3 cubicles before I got hot water. I’ve never been there when all the washing are working. When it rains it’s just a big mud pit security. There is none and trust me you need it. Same price as the secure ones and nice ones I don’t know how they are on the big 4 need to be taken away from the name

Travelling from Victoria through Western Australia we found the Kalgoorlie Acclaim Prospector Caravan Park to be the worst and most expensive park we unfortunately stayed at. The shower and toilet facilities are absolutely terrible/ dilapidated and need to be demolished and rebuilt. The water was not draining from the shower and even with a very quick shower I had water backing up to my ankles. The power and water supply for the van was located quite a distance from our site and we had to move sites to reach the tap. Laundry facilities are not great either, some machines operate on “Token only” some on $2 coins, and some on $1 coins. We could not get any tokens on the afternoon we arrived as reception closed at 3pm which meant everyone was using the one and only coin operational washing machine. The rubbish bins were absolutely full all weekend until Monday The staff were not very friendly or helpful and the manager comes across as a smart ****. This caravan park should not be included in the Big 4 parks. We definitely would not recommend it.

Gravel sites which appears well spaced. We were on a drive through site next to friends. The site was meant for two vans which is ok, however can only put one awning out. Large dated amenities but clean enough. The laundry is large with plenty of machines, however some are out of order. Maybe I’d try the Discovery if I visited town again.

Site was good but showers where useless just got into the shower n lathered up n the hot water was gone nobody else in there ridiculous situation n I paid $45 per night don’t come here if u want to shower I have been travelling for over 12 months n for a Big4 to be like this is not good
