Hotel Sebastian u Hoffera

We have stayed here couple of times in the past years. Firstly, its very difficult to find the free room over the weekends in the main season. They are usually booked in advance due to the weddings or events in Modra (and there are many) The rooms are just fine but nothing extra. We got a room under the roof, so in the summer it can be very challenging. The doors did not fit properly and could hear everything&everyone in the hall. The beds are tragedy - extremely soft matrace to sleep on. Smoking should be prohibited in the lounge as there is cigarette smell in the whole area. Breakfast its either a la carte or buffet (depending on the number of guests). The staff is probably underpaid, based on their miserable faces. Smoking at the bar and chatting while we were waiting there ready to order, they did not refill the buffet regularly. To sum up the service was terrible, rooms OK. The fact is, there are not many places in Modra to choose from, and the location of this hotel is literally few steps from the town center.
