We booked this hotel with high hopes, as it appeared to be a 5-star property. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected, largely due to the unprofessional and unpleasant behavior of the hotel manager and staff, which completely ruined our mood and forced us to cut our stay short after just one night. The issues began right at check-in, where both the front desk staff and the manager insisted on charging extra for our elder child, who is 11 years old. We had booked a Duplex Family Room via Agoda - without the breakfast option - which clearly stated that the booking was for 4 guests. We were two adults and two children — well within the room’s stated capacity — yet the manager kept arguing that additional charges were required for the children. After a lengthy and frustrating discussion, it was finally clarified that the confusion stemmed from a miscommunication between the hotel and Agoda. By then, however, the damage had been done, and it left us with a very bitter first impression. To make matters worse, it rained that evening, and the so-called “5-star” Duplex Room began leaking from the roof — a problem that persisted through the night. Despite repeatedly complaining to the front desk, the only solution offered was to move us to a lower-category room. We declined, as our children were already asleep and we didn’t want to disturb them in the middle of the night to repack and relocate. We somehow managed to get through the night and checked out the next morning. It’s clear that the hotel’s primary focus is on hosting weddings and parties, with little regard for the comfort or experience of regular guests. We were deeply disappointed with the service and upkeep of the property and will definitely not be returning.
